Q: Is this the correct size to use in a 32oz French press?

In standard kitchen measurements, a large mug of coffee (16 oz of water) requires 6 Tbsp of ground coffee for a 1:15 ratio, 8 Tbsp for a strong 1:12 ratio, and 5 Tbsp for a weak 1:17 ratio. Most French presses are 32 oz, which means 12 Tbsp of ground coffee at regular strength. Using these ratios I have had no issues with the bags for my 32 oz press.

Fantastic bags. Extra large for coffee or bulk herbs. Very strong, works fantastic in hot coffee in the French press. Easy clean up. I love these bags! Great Value. I will definitely purchase again. I highly recommend these bags.

I don't use the bags in a French press. I use them to make ice coffee. It's not the grind so much as the ratio of water to coffee scoops. I use a coarse grind and 2 heaping Tablespoons to 6 oz. of water for every cup. This way I can use any pitcher that I have. Let the coffee be in the water for 24 hours before using. In or out of the fridge. This is for iced coffee.
