How does this food reduce urinary ph? what ingredients help with that?

I am not sure how it reduces it but, my male cat had crystals real bad. I took him to the vet he recommend that I buy him this brand. I buy it in bulk, I get a shipment every month. My cats will be on it forever, they are 5 now. My female cat takes it too, the vet said it will not hurt her. It makes it so easy to buy one type of cat food. My vet told me if he would get a UTI again he might not make it. He had a lot of crystals and blood. They have some flavors to choose from that helps. I always recommend this product, if a cat has a UTI this is the "BEST" you can buy!😊
