Edifier P841 Comfortable Noise Isolating Over-Ear Headphones with Microphone and Volume Controls - White

These are fantastic headphones for the price. I bought them for my wife and tried them out. They are probably the most comfortable headphones I've tried -- and I am a audio technician with many years of recording experience (with a huge head and several dozen headphones over the years). They are not "studio" headphones, but that's not what they are intended for. My wife just needed good sounding (and great-looking) gear for listening to her music. And they needed to be comfortable. They look and feel great, for hours of use. Being an audio tech, I first bought her a few very expensive "studio" headphones, but the flat response is just not enjoyable unless you're an audio freak like me. And my studio headphones are too (intentionally) heavy for hours of play. The P841 is just what she wanted. Nice and lite. These headphones are FULL size and fit over the entire ear, not just on them (well, at least my wife's little ears). Did I mention how comfortable the cushions are? Nice.

I was looking for some middle level headphones to use while working, and these really exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is great in a variety of genres, and while I would not say that they are not completely noise isolating, they definitely dampen the noise around you, creating a comfortable work environment. I work in a social setting and often have to communicate ideas with others so I personally enjoy that I can pick up on if someone directly addresses me. I will say for others the ear cups may be too small. I have tiny ears so they fit me, however I can understand how larger ears might not be quite as comfortable. Same goes for the headband, though that seems stretchy and over the week I've had these they've loosened comfortably, but don't seem to be over-stretching. The main concern I have for these headphones is the thinness of the wire, as I could see it breaking if not maintained properly. Overall, I feel like these headphones were worth the buy for my preferences, and I was impressed by the quality.

Stylish and quite comfortable with the soft leather and memory foam. Sound quality is very good with no perceptible distortions. I like the weight and balance. I wore it all night when I first got it and woke up the next morning and didn't even remember I still had them on. I had two sets of the edifier desktop speakers (edifier aurora MP300 from a few years ago which were repurposed by my son for his desktop) which I really though had a very nice sound from just 2 speakers and a small tube subwoofer. I am definitely a fan of these headphones and will probably add some more comments after a few more months of use. Great product for a great price.

I got these for work at the office since I have one particularly LOUD person who feels the need to vocalize every little thought that comes to her head. I'm used to working in silence so this makes going to the office very annoying and unproductive. Volume Control. I may have a defective headset but this is what I experienced. The volume control in the cable was very difficult to use, not at all what I've had with in-line controls. I had to push + or - very hard for a long time (several seconds) before it would do anything. At that point, it would jump all the way to max or min and I couldn't stop it in the middle. Obviously, this isn't useful at all. My other in-line volume adjustment controls require minimal pressure and stop advancing when I stop pressing the button. Not these, they blow through to the brick wall and keep on going. I've returned them as defective.

Incredibly comfortable but the sound quality was bad and the max volume was low. I also never got the mic to work. Returned them.

Really happy with these. I previously had a pair of Monster on-ears that were very padded but somehow managed to dig into my head both at the top and in the ears. (I have a pretty small head and have to wear headphones on the smallest rung.) These Edifier headphones are SUPER comfortable, I can wear them for a few hours easily with no discomfort, and they do a good job of isolating sounds like my air conditioner. I bought them to block out distractions while I write, and while they are not truly noise cancelling they do wonderfully for that purpose. They can get warm after a long time but it's not hard to take a break for a couple minutes. Sound quality is pretty good, I'm not an audiophile or anything but I'm happy with the sound. I think there is a breaking-in period, because they sound better now than they did when I first got them. When I listen to songs I am used to hearing on the radio, it picks up a lot of subtle musical nuances that I hadn't noticed before, so it's definitely an upgrade to your laptop speakers. I also listen to a lot of classical and it sounds great. As others have noted with the volume control on the mic, it works perfectly on my iPhone but NOT my MacBook. If you try to control volume when plugged into the computer it either goes all the way up or all the way down, so just use your keyboard controls. Otherwise these look great and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Very good product at a very reasonable price. I wanted some headphones that fit over my ear and were comfortable to wear for long periods of time. These seem to solve both those problems. Also the phone mic is crystal clear, helps clean up my scratchy voice. The sound is excellent too, great buy for the price. These have the upper level sound quality for the everyday person.

Overall, I've purchased 3 of these headsets. One for church sound and this and one other for personal use. I am not a sound expert but I am knowledgeable and appreciate good sound. This headset works well for our church needs and for personal enjoyment. The headset easily adjusts to the right size. The ear pads are comfortable. The microphone on this unit works good for my purposes. I would buy again and again.

En general me pareció muy buen producto, compre un par para mi y unos para mi esposa, en alrededor de 550 pesos mexicanos cada uno. Acorde a ese precio me parece que son bonitos y los materiales son de buena calidad, se pueden ajustar al tamaño de tu cabeza, la parte que toca las orejas es muy suave al tacto y me parecen cómodos, aunque si los usas varias horas en mi caso si me duele un poco la oreja (aunque si los acomodas bien si queda la oreja dentro de los audífonos sin aplastarse). Se escuchan bien en conferencias y el micrófono también funciona muy bien. Para música considero tienen buen balance, no se enfoca demasiado en graves o agudos. Aíslan bien el ruido exterior aunque no del todo. Hasta ahora 100% recomendados.

Para mucho tiempo la comodidad se podría mejorar

I use these headphones for watching movies on my laptop. The sound quality is very good, bass, mid sound and high. Makes me feel like I am right there in the action. Noise cancellation is very good but not complete nor would I want it to be complete. They are quite comfortable with the padding but a bit on the heavy side. I am pleased with my purchase. Would definitely recommend Edifier products.

Light and comfortable. Very little sound leak. Does not block outside notice completely, but good enough. A mostly plastic build, but solid. The ear cups are comfortable and fit around my ears. The sound is just good, not great or even exceptional, just good. Using it primarily to watch movies on my laptop. The mic isn't very good, the person on the other end had a difficult time understanding what i was saying. He could not hear me clearly. If you have high expectations then you will be disappointed. For the price I can't complain but I will be returning it because i am looking for a better sounding over ear headphones.
