Good entry level card
Really good card for the money. It should be obvious that you're not going to be gaming with this card in 4k or playing the newest AAA titles at 60 fps with max setting, but it gets the job done for many other games. It plays games like rocket league and paladins at 60fps easily if you lower the setting a little bit, and fortnite more closely to 45 fps. My numbers may not be too accurate mostly due to the GPU being bottlenecked by my old core 2 duo e8400. With a faster processor it should push even higher. Lastly if you're looking to set up a home theater PC then this is a fantastic option. It will easily play 4k video and fits nicely in a low profile pc. Does not require addition power from the PSU, it runs comfortably and quietly straight from the pcie x16 slot.

Low Power Consumption
Great card for older sff machines due to its low 30w power draw which wont make you have to upgrade you power supply and smaller size that allows it to fit in about any machine that has a pcie slot, while still providing good performance in older games. Can run some of the newer titles on lower settings. Drivers for it start at Windows 7 and is compatible with all Windows operating systems after, including Windows 11.

Better than on board video (which was good)
My HP ProDesk has a good video on the mother board but I chose to install this to improve upon that. 2 GB of DDR5 should be better than DDR3 dedicated to a few MB. I bought this for the expected performance and low cost. So far I am happy, I may never tax this video card as I don't play high end games. Please note, I believe this is as good of a video card as my computer deserves. Putting a $200 dollar video card in this computer would be a waste.

Great Brand, Great Card for Simple Usage
This is a solid buy for any system that needs a dependable, low-power, high quality, and diminutive GPU. It takes up very little space, it runs cool, it runs quiet, and of course brings with it the excellent functionality of the NVIDIA control panel. It won't be rendering demanding games at high frame rates, but for basic gaming it absolutely gets the job done. It also draws all power from the motherboard, with no additional connectors required. If you're looking for a proper gaming card, you'd be better served by stepping up to a GTX 1050 ti, but if you just want to give a cheap older machine a little oomph, need a nice solution to a build without integrated graphics, or just want to fuss around with light gaming, this is your pick. You also cannot go wrong with Zotac. They are hands down my current favorite GPU manufacturer, and I go with them for every one of my purchases. One thing to keep in mind is that this card does not support NVIDIA ShadowPlay, so I ended up having to return mine once I'd realized that. Outside of that one problem, it suited all of my needs.

Perfect for Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite
My 9-year old daughter recently got into PC gaming like her older brother and wanted daddy to build her a computer for her birthday. Well....daddy is a sucker when it comes to his baby girl. I was fortunate enough to come across this GPU just before the things got real bad in terms of supply and demand. Paid a little more than I should have, but it wasn't outrageous. Popped this in her teal FD case surrounded by 5 pink LED fans and it runs perfectly fine. She currently only plays Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft so the 1030 does just fine paired with her i5-8400 and 16GB DDR4. Fortnite was running 100+fps on high settings, Minecraft was running well above 150fps, and I never really checked Roblox but no hiccups at all there either. She asked me the other day if I would buy here a RTX 3090. I about stroked out and explained that daddy only has 1030 money, maybe 1060 money. We're not RTX-rich!! If you're looking for a good budget GPU for entry-level gaming or for emulation gaming, this is defintely a good choice. Don't expect to play newer AAA titles at blazing fps with this.

Great true 4K solution for an older desktop PC
I had to replace a failing 10 year old 24" VGA HD monitor, so I bought a 28" 4K monitor that I plugged in to a HDMI port on the back of my 10 year old desktop PC that I hadn't even known it was equipped with! The image quality was tremendously better, but the onboard graphics processor was limited to HD resolution. I'll need to replace my PC in the next two years to accommodate Windows 11 (or 12), so I was limited to finding an "older technology" graphics card built for a PCIe 3.0 interface which happened to be available on my PC's motherboard. My research led me to this card which I purchased two months ago, and I finally took the plunge to open up my trusty (and dusty!) old computer to install it. The installation was easier than I'd ever imagined, and after I powered up the PC again (and it struggled through multiple Windows 10 and other assorted application updates since it had been powered down for a week), the computer discovered the new graphics card, and then the graphics card identified the monitor and configured its output for full 4K resolution. I was literally awestruck at how finely detailed the monitor's display is now! I of course don't use this "vintage" 3rd gen i5-based PC for gaming, but the increase in image quality and fine-grained detail literally changes the experience interacting with Windows, viewing images and data on web sites, and working with documents and spreadsheets. Anyone who has an older PC that they'll be using for a few more years but wants the full benefit of a 4K monitor in the mean time should truely consider this graphics card!

Nvidia created this entry level graphics card for reasons stated below. This card is meant to revive older PC's like mine, I have a 7 yr old Dell 660 desktop(regular version not the slim) and I installed this easily with the help of a youtube tutorial. My specs are 8GB(1600 MHz DDR3) of ram and also an i5 Intel 3300 4 core processor. Games I tested are GTA V, DOOM 2016, both games ran really well, 40+ fps set on med-high settings. As for most PC games you do have to play with the graphics settings to suit your needs. GTA V FPS ran better in 720P mode with higher graphics enabled, for 1080p I lowered the specs a bit, but the game still looks great and plays great on on this setting as well. DOOM ran fine with overall graphics on Medium with display on 1080p, 720p mode didn't look very good at all so I switched it back, I was also enabling the Vulkin API in DOOM, it was a bit buggy and froze a couple times but that was when it was set in 720p, adjusting it back to 1080p did the trick. As I mentioned I had adjusted the overall graphics to Medium level in DOOM while in 1080p, which gave me higher FPS, and the game still looks really good even on Med. level. So overall. This is definitely worth your money, why throw away or donate a PC that is like this one or similar, just because it's old doesn't mean you can't upgrade it, or at least do the research to see if it is capable of an upgrade. For $135.00 with tax and shipping included, I just saved a perfectly good computer and made it very capable of playing Triple A titles. I'm definitely impressed with this card and highly recommend.

GT 1030 is an affordable choice for multimedia/OTT HTPC. Supports HTCP 2.2, needed for 4k/8k playback. SUpports AVC/H264/H265/HEVC/VP9 hardware decoding at 4k/8k. VLC, SMPlayer/MPV and WMP/Media Player can decode 4k/8k HEVC/VP9 files/network streams easily at hardware level. I can easily stream 4k YouTube videos without any flickr or lags, in all major web browsers on Win10. Unfortunately, HEVC/VP9 4k hardware decoding is not working on Linux Browsers (Chrome/Firefox), these browsers don't yet support Nvidia's NVDEC library on Linux platform. Prime Video doesn't show full HD option on Linux browers. Linux's SMPlayer/MPV/VLC can play 4k/8k HEVC/VP9 smoothly using Nvidia's NVDEC hardware decoding. Web browsers run faster and crisper overall. With this card, Windows10/11 supports HDR desktop, HDR images and HDR video playback, if your monitor also supports HDR. However, Amazon Prime and Disney Hotstar don't support 4k, nor HDR on Windows/Linux PC (in browsers or Native Apps) at the time of this writing. Hotstar shows upto 1080p. Prime Video also plays at 1080p max (no HDR). Also, no OTT platform, except YouTube , streams 1440p (2k) resolution. Hopefully at least 4k support will be added to windows by these platforms, there is no fault on Nvidia's side, their card is perfectly capable of 4k/8k and HDR content and HEVC/VP9 hardware decode. Note that AV1 hardware decode is not supported.

I read the reviews and this looked perfect for fitting inside my very small SFF case but I was worried that it might be slightly too big. Fortunately, it fits OK inside the case (Dell Optiplex 7020). I can now use my Iiyama wide monitor at it's top resolution of 3440x1440 and it runs Topaz Photo AI software faster than the I7 CPU. Very happy with the purchase.
