Seriously. I don’t know why I waited so long to buy this. Improved workflow and safety.
If you haven’t purchased this foot pedal for your Proxxon rotary tool, run out and get one! It’s a game changer. Controlling the workflow with a foot pedal is much safer and more convenient than turning it on and off with the dial on the handle. I have a Proxxon model building and engraving set, 38515. It’s the best rotary tool I’ve owned. The foot pedal makes it even better. I wish I had purchased everything sooner. Can’t recommend it enough. There may be multiple versions, so check to make sure it’s compatible with your Proxxon system when ordering.

Works as described
What is there to say, you step on the gas, it goes. Steel construction, fairly heavy AC cord. If only buy one accessory for your hot wire table, get this! Being able to use both hands while turning the heat on and off with your foot is invaluable!

Makes using the Proxxon so much easier.
I am used to the foot pedals on a sewing machine. This is so much better than flipping the switch on and off between adjusting the foam sheet keeping the alignment perfect. Also stops the odor of burning foam!

This is one of the only foot switches that also acts like an extension. Most others have that piggy back plug

Great tool for Proxxon Owners
If you own a Proxxon Thermocut, this is one thing that you should really consider buying. The footswitch is a push on/release off switch that plugs into your Proxxon between the wall and the cutter and allows you to use both hands on your project, while having control over the power to the hot wire. Highly recommend this product. Note: It is pretty lightweight, so I suggest that you attach it to a piece of wood or something, so it stays in place.

Needs variable speed
Its ok if all you need is on or off but really this should have variable speed control.
