Decent Wheels for the price
These are definitely not the lightest wheels that you will buy, but they are built like a tank. Out of the box they need a small amount of truing before they went on the bike. The color is perfect to, my bike gets a lot of comments and about half are about the wheels. After riding these for almost two years they have only had to be trued two times, besides that they require little to no maintenance. I have taken these wheels off jumps, curbs, on dirt trails, gravel roads, and they have taken all the abuse that I have given them.

Looks good but cheap manufacturing
So I pulled them out of the box and put them on my bike and they looked great. They came with the tires mounted and ready to ride after you pump them up. Unfortunately, one of the tubes was a little leaky. I thought it was the presta valva. It only leaked sometimes and would stop when I moved the valve around. After spinning the wheels I noticed there was a rattling sound in both of them. There was something inside the wheels. I had to take them both off and take off the tires and tubes. I had to shake whatever was inside down to the valve holes and pull them out with pliers. There were METAL SHAVINGS in them. BOTH of them! I'm sure they came from the manufacturing process from drilling the valve holes (the shavings were curly). So most likely anyone else that orders these wheels will have the same problem. As for the leaky tube, turns out there was a puncture in the tube (probably from the metal shavings).Overall, they're good wheels but I don't see why anyone has to go through this trouble when buying a wheelset.

Great Purchase
The wheels spin true right out of the box, and the hubs turn great! They are very lightweight, look very sleek, easy to install, and ride way better than expected. Also I'm so happy they come with a flip-flop hub that includes both cogs (fixed-gear and freewheel 16T) because I wasn't sure if I was going to prefer fixed-gear or freewheel. The tires are excellent, and I am very happy with this purchase. At this point I think I am going to ride mostly fixed.

Just what I was looking for.
This wheelset is a heavy one and very simplistic. Typical tires, typical spoke set up and presta valve. All I was looking for was a skinnier 700c that could replace my 27 inch wheels that I have. They do just the trick and look great. A few things to note is there are no walls for brake lines and My specific bike didn;t quite fit the axle on the front but it was an easy fix-- i just had to file down the bolt.

Awesome wheels for the price.
These wheels are pretty nice, especially when you consider the price. The package they came in was completely destroyed, but (miraculously) the wheels were fine! Perfectly true right out of the box, but the cones were a but too tight... Nothing that can't be fixed with 30 seconds of wrenching. The reason that I rate these 4 stars is because the fixed-gear cog is VERY difficult to remove. I wanted to swap out the 16t cog for a 18t because I live in a very hilly city. The lockring comes off no problem, but the cog seems to be epoxy-Ed on. Not loktite, EPOXY! After trying and failing with my chainwhip (even using a cheater-bar), I tried using the reverse Rotafix method... It took two people, even doing that!Other than that, I love these wheels! Paint is great (the black spokes make te color really POP), bearings are smooth, and (mine, at least) came true, despite the package being shredded. I'd buy them again, and would recommend them to a friend.

Affordable but not cheap
when i look at the price and the brand, this is totally the thing for my Old motobecane Bike. it's shiny and strong too, it came with 16T cog and freewheel (flip-flop) and came with inner tube and tire. what else can i ask other than that? worth every penny

Don't waste your time or money, these wheels are garbage!!!!
These wheels are garbage and should be removed from view! Haven’t used them because axel bolt is too wide they do not fit, plus just holding the wheel and spinning it in my hand the wheel seems to have an elliptical rotation, (it moves in and out!). I ordered these wheels while I was out of town because I wanted them to be there when I got home. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am with the poor quality and workmanship evident with these functionally trashy wheels! This item actually deserves a minus star!

You get what you pay for, not the best construction
I purchased the orange wheelset. Overall the product is as described, but some details are lacking.Packaging: Came in a large box, with a single piece of cardboard separating the two wheels. The outside bolts on each wheel had a flat plastic cover to prevent punching through the box, but the insides did not. Not surprisingly, the bolts punched through the single cardboard sheet and jammed into the spokes. Light scratches on the black paint of the spokes is probably due to this.Tires and Tubes: No complaints here, seem good quality and properly installed on the rim. Apparently a well known brand but I'm not an expert on them.Color: Orange paint on rim is mostly glossy and smooth, but there are numerous streaks with the gloss rubbed off, possibly due to packaging, or construction. I checked to see if it was just marks by cleaning the wheels but its definitely some scratched off clear coat. Black paint on spokes is fine, other than scratches from packaging. Based on this I don't think the paint is very durable.Construction: This is probably the worst aspect of the wheel. On both wheels the Retrospec sticker is used to cover up a large, very noticeable seam running radially on the rim, on both sides. I realize this is how most rims are made, but better quality rims are brazed and sanded smooth, or put together with an insert and much higher tolerances. The seam is a gap in the paint and metal that can be seen from around 4 feet away. If you plan on installing brakes the seam causes a noisy bump each time the pads go over it.Both wheels spin relatively true, but could use a truing. The hubs spin quietly and the flip flop up was secure and worked well.
