Does the tape measure have a level?

No it doesn't and I when using the laser it doesn't tell you fractional inches. So 58 3/8 inch shows up at 58 inches.

Mine won't stay turned off! I turn the laser on, take my measurement, then turn it off. The laser turns itself back on a moment later. Help?

For a unit that is properly functioning, the first button press turns on the laser for aiming. A second button press within 15 seconds displays the measurement and turns off the laser. The display turns off automatically after 1 minute. There is no method to manually turn off the display. A third button press will turn the laser on for a new measurement.
