Heats up fast which is a good thing
This is the first soldering station I’ve owned and am very impressed with it. The iron is so small and I thought there is no was this is going to do as well as my large iron. I was wrong. It worked great. No waiting for it to heat up. It’s even got a load meter so when you touch the hot end to what you are soldering the load meter will be high and will drop as it heats it up. That’s how I know it’s ready to apply solder, when tge number reaches 10 percent or so from 100.Works great for what I needed it for, leds and circuit boards and comes witg 3 differebt style tips for pin point heating or flat tip for larger area.Would buy again.

Soldering iron for micro work
A professional device I just started working with and testing it. With the many options of soldering iron heads in different sizes, it looks good and professional.

Recommended!
I was shopping for a cheap but not too cheap of a solution for a soldering station and didn't want to spend $500+. Luckly, the Mobile Repair discord server recommended me this company and model. It does the job pretty well as far as I can see when using it. I just wish it came with additional sponges but I can just buy some from a store and cut them into squares.

Good product
I love this soldering iron. Ive used the JBC soldering iron before and this is a clone of it. Ill say that this is basically as good as that. Build quality is very good and temperature control seems accurate. Ill be purchasing official JBC tips in the future, though the ones it comes with work fine.

Amazing value.
I've been looking at soldering stations to replace my aging Weller for quite some time. Based on cost and positive reviews I picked up a Sugon A9, and I couldn't be happier. My first job was to rebuild my truck's instrument cluster and it was perfect for that. I've tackled several jobs since and it's worked perfectly for each. I picked up a 210 handle originally, which was great for what I needed but I'll be getting a 245 handle/tips in the near future.

Awesome affordable unit for Microsoldering
I am surprised at how much I like this unit. I was contemplating buying a unit twice the price from a more reputable high-quality brand. But I took the chance and I’m very happy with this unit. I am able to do charging port replacements on phones without any issues although I will say the included tips or not the highest quality and have burned up and then useless within the first two weeks. I highly recommend buying genuine JBC tips.

This Solder Station Is Almost O.K.
This Solder Station Is Almost O.K.This Sugon A9 245 Solder Station is adequate for low temperatures and for higher temperatures if you do work a-rounds’. However, there are several negatives. The first is that there is very little instruction supplied with the unit. When my unit stopped working correctly, I contacted them for help under warrantee. They answered using (obviously inadequate) translation software. Three times they ignored, and never answered the question, “What caused this problem and how do I avoid it from happening again?”When I tested the tip temperature with a thermocouple thermometer it showed that the station needs to have increasing temperature compensation as the tip temperature is increased. This presents a problem because you cannot have more than one temperature compensation setting and there are three different channels. I was using a large tip and had to set the compensation for channel #1 at about 50 degrees higher to achieve an accurate 410⁰ F. The higher the temperature you need at the tip, the higher the Sugon needs to be set. The 50 degree compensation setting was not high enough for the higher temperatures I wanted for channel 2 and 3. I did a go-around by monitoring the tip temperature with my thermocouple as I raised the Sugon station temperature until I got the needed temperature at the soldering tip, and then saved it to the next channel. This seems to work, but most people do not have thermocouples, and it makes it difficult to know what the actual tip temperature is. Even with compensation, the temperature at the tip on channel 2 needed to read about 50⁰ F. more on the Sugon Station than the tip read, and the highest temperature needed an increase of about 90⁰ F. This means that the Sugon will work at higher temperatures, but it will not be displaying the actual tip temperature; and can be confusing.Several weeks into use, all three of the channel buttons, and the up and down temperature buttons, and the set button, showed an err message beside the temperature. There are no troubleshooting instructions, and no explanation of the err message. The temperature was locked into its last setting and was the same on every button and channel.Still new enough to be covered by the one year warrantee, I contacted the company. Communicating with them was a frustrating experience. Each contact had a one day wait for a reply. Instead of taking me at my word of what the problem was, they had me send them photos of the problem. After sending 6 different photos, their next day reply was to send me two inoperable .peg files. I requested that they resend as .jpegs and the next day I got two inoperable .jpeg files. Frustrated, I then requested that they include the photos within their message and/or tell me how to fix it. The next day the reply did not include the pictures, but said I should hold down the channel one button and then turn the unit on. This cleared all of the err messages and the unit worked again. When I replied that this worked, I asked them why this situation happened and how to avoid the error, they ignored the question. They obviously knew what the problem was from my description. I asked them why did they waste so much of my time in days; having me send photos, and not suggest this process right away? Their only response was, “Due to the use of translation software for communication, there may be some errors that may cause you to make operational mistakes or not understand the steps. Therefore, we prioritize providing pictures or videos for you to view.”Further requests for an explanation of their codes and how to avoid the problem got this response, ”Hello customer, the bottom of our soldering station comes with the instructions.”The instructions they refer to are lightly printed on the plastic base and are almost the same color as the plastic, and all but a few words are illegible. I photographed the bottom numerous times using a tripod, long exposure, and also with/without a flash. Most photographs showed nothing. This is the best shot and was accomplished using a tripod without a flash.Only the bottom square is in English and mostly unreadable.Originally, I gave this product 3 stars in the hope of giving a balanced review. However, after receiving their last reply I give it a 1!
