Super Fun & Adorable Breakfast Waffles
adorable and fun! the hearts do come out like hearts and they heat evenly so long as you use proper amounts of batter. Honestly one of the cutest waffle makers ive ever had! this thing is sturdy and easy to clean and leaves the kitchen smelling delicious! My kids love giving them to neighbors on sundays!

I love it.
Wonderful machine all the recipes included with it work very well. There is a learning curve as the griddle pan isn't deep at all. So over flow or over crisp waffles can be expected if your using your own recipe. However definitely great for making savory waffles for sandwiches, pressing bread for panzanella, or as a sandwich press. Very easy to clean

Get this instead of a dash!
We were recently looking into getting a new waffle maker for our kids. They tend to like the thinner and more "eggo" style of waffles rather than the thick Belgian waffle maker we already have. Our old one was taking up space and with the kiddos still wanting waffles we started looking around. Originally I went for a Dash waffle maker that was also heart shaped. Upon receiving that item and using it we quickly realized it couldn't keep up with the production needs we needed. Took several minutes per every waffle, and you'd end up with one cold waffle by the time the next one was done. This is when we came upon this Muller Heart 5 Waffle Maker. It met all of our kids requests....1: Our kids wanted a fun shape to the waffle2: they wanted a thinner waffle like Eggo brand makes3: we needed to have enough waffles to serve to two children at once. This product checked all these boxes, and it works great. It heats up well, and the slide is easy to manipulate. I easily overfilled it the first few trys of making waffles, and this happened because I had a really thick batter. Once I realized to spread it out, I didnt have any issues. It didnt take long to produce 5 waffles, just a few minutes. The kiddos really enjoyed that they could separate the waffles from being together to 5 separate heart shaped waffles. This waffle maker is a steal, and we even got it while it was on sale.Dont hesitate to buy it.

Slow cooking ruins waffle quality
Unfortunately, if people give this product a positive review, it's because they have not compared it to other products, and it makes waffles. Gathering our extended family of eleven persons, I thought a double-waffle waffle maker made sense to speed things up. We put our new Mueller double iron through the motions in parallel with our VillaWare (model 3100, likely old model) single iron, discovering the following: 1. The VillaWare made three (somewhat larger) waffles in the time it took Mueller to (annoyingly slowly) cranking out one set of (somewhat smaller) double waffles. 2. The VillaWare waffle tasted significantly better and had better texture than the Mueller waffle, said out family testers. This result must be caused by the Mueller waffle taking three times as long to cook. 3. The appearance of the VillaWare waffle was significantly better than the Mueller waffle. 4. The Mueller iron has no alarm sound for when the waffle is ready cooked. The Muller iron pulls 1200W whereas the VillaWare is 1000W. I'm not talking nuances in performance here. The contrast was so stark that we are going to give the Mueller iron to a thrift store and buy another-brand better single iron. Sorry to say, but this is the unison conclusion from our entire family.Update: having read our review, the vendor (not the product maker, I presume) offered us a refund, which we accepted. That was appreciated, albeit uncalled for since we had not questioned the presentation of the product. Until a smart guy comes up with something brilliant, a double waffle maker probably doesn’t make sense because a) you can’t just add more electric power to a double iron as that would blow the fuse of your outlet, and b) the resulting slower cooking process ruins the waffle quality. If I were the boss, the product would be withdrawn from the market.

So So
Not great, not bad. Hard to clean if you have a batter overflow. Heat control is a good idea, removable plates for cleaning would boost this review significantly. Despite the cutesy heart pattern, one of the few that have traditional sized waffling for those of us who are tired of the Belgian waffle craze.

A must have in your kitchen
Why did you pick this product vs others?:My previous Swedish waffle maker was a piece of junk. I love these thin waffles so much, I decided to try a new one. This is such a simple design, works like a charm, and even the recipe they suggest for buttermilk waffles is a winner. I look forward to using it often, and to make the pumpkin waffles this fall! Great value, sturdy product, and it will not disappoint!
