This is an excellent product, I ordered to use as a cat deterrent in my garden (my own cat!). She tends to hide under my low laying acer tree and get the birds which i won't allow. I use these mats placed under the overhanging branch and around the tree so she can't sit there hidden anymore. These haven't hurt her in the slightest but are very uncomfortable to stand or lay on. The birds are not bothered and hop between the spikes, squirrels happily run over them with no issues and snails get in and become stuck by there shells between the spikes unharmed. Its great for summer when I can find the snails and relocate them away from my young seedlings and plants. Ive also found they are excellent for covering areas where I've planted bulbs or placed seeds, i pin the mats over the top and the squirrels can no longer dig up the bulbs or bury their food. Do check the size when ordering, I didn't and ended up needing an extra box for the area I wanted covering, which wasn't a problem but did mean a day's wait to finish the job waiting on 2nd delivery. The mats are a very tough plastic, black so blends with the soil well. Spikes are nice and tall, easily seen even on the soil, and tough. Not sharp but will make you say ouch if you put your hand on them. Not spiky enough to break skin. The set includes thin V pins to push between them and hold them down so they stay in place. There are enough for one to a mat. I found i could overlay the mats and stretch the pins more in places that needed more security. I'm very pleased with this purchase and have recommended them many times already. I'm looking to get more as I expand my borders and plant more bulbs. Happily recommended you try them too :)

These are great for holding netting in place to protect recently planted spring bulbs. Not expensive and saves me having to continually chase the birds away from my pots.

Purchased these pegs, they arrived quickly, and are good quality I bought 100 of these, however when counting them there was only 98 so not so good when paying for 100.

Worked as they should. Good quality for a good price.

Considering the price these worked extremely well in pegging down garden membrane. Although the ground was incredibly hard only 2 or 3 bent out of shape. I recommend that you use a rubber or wooden mallet to drive them in. Obviously I can't comment on rust resistance but once the membrane is covered in shingle it shouldn't matter anyway. So good I've actually bought another box. Great value. Recommended.
