I feel like a complete nerd for loving this wand so much but I do! I have a Kirby Sentra I bought at a divorce sale, but it was missing the extension wand and a few other pieces. No big, but after laying on my belly to vacuum under a bed I was over it. This fit right onto the house. I do have to push it fairly hard to get it to stay, and occasionally it slips. Still completely fine because I love it! It's the perfect length to accept a hardwood floor brush and make short work of vacuuming. The click lock works great, I shortened it to dust ceiling fan blades then extended it for a light fixture in the stairwell. Just right. I know this is marketed for a specific system but it does work with other standard sized systems, including Kirby. It's far superior quality to the plasticy wand the Kirby is supposed to have. I'm going to check out this brand for any other random pieces needed before bothering with the branded stuff.

This is a well-made after-market wand. The button/latch to adjust the length is plastic, and you need to check for solid locking when you change length, but it works fine - just be aware, like with so much new stuff, you can't be too rough with it. The chrome plating is very nice. The end that attaches to the vacuum hose uses a plastic insert for friction. It remains to be seen how durable that is. Lastly, I chose this particular item because it had the longest maximum length. I'm 6'2" and it's more than long enough with my vacuum (Eureka Mighty Mite).

Good overall product, but the catch on the button is a bit weak. It won't stay at its most raised position, and keeps moving to the 2nd position from the most raised one. Still usable, but would be better not to have to huddle down as much and vacuum while staying straight.

Very nice kit.

The plastic wands that came with the original central vacuum garage hose kept breaking and/or coming loose. It was very annoying and inconvenient. The metal pipe fit the hose fine, and the floor brush was large and sturdy. Should have noticed that their availability much sooner. Made my life much easier.

I haven't found any that this one is the best

Heavier than my 17 years old OEM wand which is still in good condition. I understand some people love it to be heavy so when it accidently beats something in their home the wand will not be destroyed.

My original (Superlux) wand broke, so I needed a replacement. I got this one and I'm very happy with it -- my old vacuum wand had a "pin hole" which this one doesn't, and I thought to myself I was going to simply drill a hole in to have it fit, but I didn't have to -- it's a snug fit, it works perfect the way it is. Quite frankly I feel this works even better than the original wand, I truly believe the suction improved, because it is a better fit, it has less holes for the air to escape. Recommended.

Quality is A+ and the unit feels nice and solid! Purchased this for my Makita Vacuum and it fits like a glove! The locking mechanism is good and not flimsy. It locks securely. Would I ever buy this again if I needed another vacuum telescoping wand? Yes!
