Very easy to set up, just plug it into the outlet and it starts working
I plugged this in near the kitchen and within a short time it already started catching flies. It’s completely odorless, quiet, and you don’t have to deal with any messy sprays or traps. I like that it looks subtle and works continuously in the background. Especially helpful in warmer months when flies tend to get inside more often. Easy to use and effective without being noticeable. I would definitely buy it again.

READ my review....
**Use this Plug-In Fly Trap in conjunction with BIO-CLEAN (see my photos, sold by another seller) and you will have 90% to 100% success in eliminating drain flies... and your sanity will return! I purchased the Plug-In Fly Trap for a small bathroom where I have been battling drain flies for 5+ years! I am using it in conjunction with the BIO-CLEAN product.** READ BELOW.... When I tell you I have used 5+ OTC products PLUS several do it yourself remedies and concoctions for drain flies, none of which worked well, not exaggerating. I even clean out the tub trap and use a small snake-like tool to remove anything in the drain thinking that could be a breeder issue. Initially I treated all drains for the flies, even the washer drain, until I figured out the exact problem area. No water source area was not treated. I even bought a tiny little scrub brush on a snake that goes down into the drain lines. Still had drain flies. Finally.... using duct tape, taped down over the drains, that is how I finally figured out where the problem area was, where they were flying out of getting stuck on the tape. Now that I knew where.....over the past 5+ years I have poured huge pots of boiling water down the tub/shower drain, repeating daily for a few days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used vinegar mixed with baking soda, repeating daily for days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have poured a cup of bleach (the thick no-splash gel kind) at a time down the drains, waiting a few hours then rinsing with hot water. Did this for several days in a row. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used powerful drain cleaners/chemicals for clogged drains, even though my drain works at 100%. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have spent A LOT OF MONEY purchasing various liquid pre-mixed drain cleaners ADVERTISED FOR DRAIN FLIES here on Amazon. Sometimes treating 2 weeks at a time, daily, sometimes twice daily. Helped, but still seeing multiples daily. FINALLY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT - BIO CLEAN. RUN and get yourself some, quickly, if you have drain flies! THIS is the only drain fly product that really works, however not 100%. Use it overnight for about 2 weeks straight. Do not use water for about 8 hrs in that drain. After you get rid of them, or most, use 1x a week as maintenance. Most days I see a fly when I turn the water on, flying out of the drain, or on the shower wall or even in the toilet. Sometimes in other areas of the condo, like at my computer screen. Not 1-2 dozen a day anymore, just 1 or 2 a day most days, and not the larger ones, usually the smaller gnat-like flies. I am convinced I will never be totally rid of them, even with all I am doing, and using BIO-CLEAN weekly. There is something way down in that drain pipe that is the culprit. NOW.... since I plugged this light in the bathroom a week ago, it is catching most of those stragglers (see photo). If you have drain flies you must clean out the enzymes in all your drains with a enzyme cleaning product, do it time to time (weekly if needed, or monthly as a preventative) as routine maintenance, especially the problem drains. Enzymes is what drain flies feed on. *I gave the Plug-In Fly Trap 2 stars for "value for money".... $17.97 is very costly for this product and refills are a bit expensive. Now that I know there are plug-in products with a UV LED light fro this problem, I will shop around.

A Sticky Gnat Grabber with a But
The Safer Home Indoor Fly Trap is a little fighter against those pesky gnats that seem to magically appear in your houseplants or fruit bowl. Here's a closer look at this gnat-catching gadget to help you decide if it's the right weapon for your war on tiny flies. Gnat Terminator (Eventually): Good news: This trap is effective for catching gnats, especially after a few days of operation. Those little gnat suckers will be history...well, stuck to a history-making sticky card, at least. Not-so-great news: It doesn't address the root cause of the gnat infestation. While it will trap existing gnats, it won't stop more from hatching or flying in from elsewhere. So, you might need to combine this trap with other methods to truly vanquish the gnat menace. Chemical-Free Fly Fighter: A big plus: This trap is completely chemical-free. This makes it a safe choice for homes with curious children or rambunctious pets. You can breathe easy knowing there are no harmful fumes or sprays involved. A Sticky Situation: Think flypaper: The trap uses a sticky card to capture gnats. This is similar to classic fly strips, and while effective, it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing solution for your home decor. Slow and Steady Wins the Race (Against Gnats): Be patient: The trap might not catch a ton of gnats right away. Give it a few days to work its magic and for the gnats to discover their sticky doom. The Verdict: The Safer Home SH502 Indoor Fly Trap is a decent option for a chemical-free way to catch gnats. It's easy to use and works moderately well. However, it's not a silver bullet solution and won't eliminate the source of the gnats. Consider using it alongside other methods to completely eradicate those gnat invaders.

Catches those pesky little fruit, plant, and sink flies
I use these all over the house. They work well. And this brand is less expensive than some other brands. Also, you can find generic brands of the sticky boards as refills that are compatible and less expensive.

Quietly Effective Fly Control Without Harsh Chemicals
I picked up the Safer Home Indoor Plug-In Fly Trap during peak gnat season, and it’s been running non-stop in my kitchen ever since. In just a couple of weeks, the glue card was completely covered, which tells me two things: (1) it works, and (2) I probably had way more gnats and fruit flies hanging around than I realized. Performance It attracts gnats, fruit flies, and even the occasional housefly, all without any sprays or chemical smell. The light glows softly (not too bright, so you can comfortably keep it in a kitchen or living room without it being distracting), and the adhesive card quietly collects the pests. No zapping sound, no odor—just a steady, silent solution. Ease of Use Setup is literally plug-and-play. Slide in the glue card, plug it into an outlet, and forget about it until you notice the card filling up. Replacing the cards is simple, though I recommend doing it every 2–3 weeks depending on how bad your insect issue is. Pros: • Actually catches gnats and fruit flies quickly • Pet- and people-safe, no toxic sprays or fumes • Silent and discreet—no ugly traps hanging from the ceiling • Cards are easy to replace Cons: • Refills are necessary, so it’s an ongoing cost • Doesn’t eliminate the problem at the source (still need to address drains, fruit bowls, etc.) • Works best in darker areas, so don’t expect max results in direct sunlight Verdict If you’re tired of chasing gnats around your fruit bowl or worrying about flies landing on food, this trap is worth it. It won’t replace good cleaning habits, but as a maintenance tool, it makes your home feel cleaner and bug-free without extra effort.

Works immediately!! Great for gnats
I bought this kit to help me deal with a very bad fungus gnat infestation. My pothos plant was killed by those horrible bugs and left me a home full of them buggers. I put the trap up as soon as it arrived and four hours later my first sticky trap is almost completely covered! This definitely works! If you have a bad infestation like I do, I recommend getting extra sticky sheets. I will probably need a couple more before my issue if fully resolved but just the first use was a huge improvement. It’s extremely effective for gnats! Very happy with this product, thank you! I will definitely use this again.

Works for small, NOT large flies.
Family was bringing stuff into house through the garage, which stores our trash cans. The cans had attracted many houseflies that decided to enjoy our home’s air conditioning. For three days we chased them around trying to swat them dead, but they were quick little buggers. I have kids and pets, so I’m not into spraying poison around my home, so I decided to try a fly trap. This trap does work, but NOT for house flies. First, house flies are not attracted to light in the same manner other flying insects are. So, the “bait” (light) doesn’t attract them. Second, I’m not sure if they are all-together avoiding the trap, or if the sticky is too weak to trap them, but not one housefly was caught. After two days of not catching anything, I moved the trap close to the trash and smeared a tiny bit of honey on the sticky side to bait them. The following morning, I noticed two fruit flies on the trap. It has now been almost two weeks and all I have caught are about seven or eight fruit flies and gnats, but nothing else. My conclusion is that the trap only works for smaller/lighter flying insects. At this point, I’m not sure if I would have ever caught those if I hadn’t added the honey bait. I’ll use this trap near my fruit bowl, but I don’t think it’s useful for much else.

Great fly trap. Worth the money.
Very effective. Large flies, mosquitoes and knats are all fair game for these traps. Eliminates needing to use chemicals and sprays. This is the second one I've purchased. The replacement sticky cards are pricey, but worth the $. A larger unit, rated for outdoor use, would make for a welcome addition for a BBQ and just enjoying the outdoors. Great value for the money. I highly recommend.
