How do you needle drop or select?

You needle drop, or select your track, within your DJ software, whether it be serato, record box, or whatever, you can select what track, and exactly where in that track you’re playing From on your computer with your mouse, once you have set cue points for that track on your computer you can then use the cue point buttons on your mixer to needle drop directly to those cue points. If you’re using a rane 72, you can select your track and needle drop anywhere within that track right on the touch screen on the mixer, that’s what I do

How long does battery last? i play several 8+ hour gigs.

With the updates i get 6 hours on a full charge

Am I able to use just to listen to music like on a record player or is it only for DJing ?

Nooooo, You need the proper software and hardware for this to work.

Love my 1210's too much

Was considering getting a pair of Rane TWELVES, but I love my 1210's too much...No brainer when these came out on what road I was taking....Gives me the flexibility to swap easily btwn needles/vinyl or Serato/Phase...For the $$$ Def made the right choice. imo*4 stars instead of 5 due to small issues that I've had. (Switching from REL mode to INT mode unexpectedly) However, regular updates have improved these small issues.

First time into digital

I've been a DJ since the .... well let's just say long time! :) I still have crates of vinyl, many crates! I stopped DJing because of kids, family and time. Earlier last year I got back into it and found so much has changed! You guys are cheating now!! No fair!! I had to carry crates and crates of records around everywhere! Now I can carry around my laptop a and controller! I'm happy to have the tech now though. So much easier and fun now too. Last year I started with Serato and Pioneer XP2, to go along with my 1200s. I like it! Nice set up for me.A few months ago I found out about Phase and bought a set. What?!?! This is crazy!! no needles! I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first. After having Phase for a few months and playing around with the beta software. It's so good! I don't have to worry about needles or the skipping. If you are on the fence, I recommend getting Phase and trying it out.My only drawback with Phase is that you there's no "Absolute" feature. I can see why there isn't, but it does make it hard to set up cues. I would have to do that anyway with a new track. But I don't really need that feature when I'm listening to a new track, I set my cues on first listen.

When it works, it's awesome

This is the coolest DJ product of the last 10 years, maybe ever. However, every so often, and without warning, they send out this horrid screeching sound that can only be fixed by restarting Serato DJ. I have found that starting the Serato up fresh before each set lessens the chances of it happening (as opposed to leaving it running between sets), but I would still be wary of working in front of a paying customer until they figure that out.

Never going back

Worrying about needles and finding rare Shure 44-7's is a thing of the past. So easy and synced right up with Serato DJ. Great product. Thanks, guys
