I have been using the extra strength Equate brand for several years, and this appears to be identical, judging from the back labels and actual results. It keeps the eczema at bay by slowing scale formation and I alternate with salicylic acid shampoo which breaks down the scale.

Will rid Dandruff but as for those tiny bumps on scalp not so much. I just purchased Selsun Blue it worked great. What I don't like of this product is the smell, you will smell like a roadway paver of that asphalt smell, must come back with a better smelling product or have ones look at you as you past them by.

I first bought regular strength. I tried the Extra Strength this time. It works really well. I have psoriasis on my scalp and am very itchy. This shampoo helps tremendously. I dry my hair with a diffuser and the blow dryer setting on cool. I have noticed less itching since using this product. I use it every time I shampoo.

After T-Gel was discontinued I tried a few other things and nothing worked very well. I found this product and it costing 1/4th of what the price gouging of T-Gel is going for and decided to give it a try. Male, medium length hair. I found that after 5+ weeks of using it, the first few weeks every day to get back to normal and now just every other day or so it works as good as T-Gel or even better. No more buildup, flakes, and itches are minor if at all. I wash and rinse my hair with cool water and then use a cheesy grocery store brand conditioner and all is well. Some of the reviews here complained about the smell - "it smells like someone is tarring a roof". There is a little smell, no worse than T-Gel, and actually maybe not as bad. Once you rinse your hair, the smell goes away. I had the wife unit verify this. After a few days of shampooing with it you don't even notice the smell. I'll take 3 1/2 minutes of smell vs. an itchy scalp any day. As an experiment I have 1/2 bottle of T-Gel left and used it for a few days. Yep, it smells worse. Glad I found this, it fixed an annoying problem.
