I bought this product to replace my old - and very heavy - wooden bed frame, since the design of the old bed made it difficult to change the fitted sheet easily without lifting up each mattress corner from within the bed frame - which on a heavy king-size mattress when you live by yourself and are getting a bit older isn't easy without putting your back out!I've kept my old wooden headboard and have just pushed this lovely new bed frame up against it. The new frame is so sturdy and amazing for the price - feels very comfortable when you lie on it, and no squeaking noises when you roll over (which I was worried about, with this being a metal frame instead of the wooden slatted base I was used to).When I last moved house, I really struggled with dismantling/moving/setting up my wooden bed, so I was looking for a more practical replacement this time. This product is amazing - came in 2 pieces for the King-Size frame, each folded in half which made it very easy for me to lift up and move into place, and I had it set up entirely in less than 10 minutes from opening the box to sitting on my new bed (and I read the - very easy - instructions in that time too). Since it folds down flat, it'd also be easy for it to be stored if anyone just needs an occasional guest bed (I'm using mine full time, but it's nice to know I have that as a storage option in the future if needed).No tools needed to set it up either, which is great: just 2 wingnut bolts to keep the 2 sections together. I ordered the 35cm height frame since that was the same height as my old one. There's also a higher option, which would be useful for anyone finding it difficult bending down too far, I would imagine. It's much easier to clean underneath the bed, with lots more storage space than I previously had. And so much easier to pack away for the next move too!5 stars - well deserved.Edit after 5 months use: still going strong - no issues at all :)Would definitely recommend. Also, if you add a valance, you'd never know it's a metal bedframe either.

I wanted something metal, good aeration, not too low, no squeaks, easy to move, easy to assemble and affordable. Well this ticks all the boxes. It is a solid piece of kit. I am slightly cautious when sitting on and getting off the bed, due to other people reviews but I can’t see any bend in the metal rods at all, my mattress isn’t sagging or slipping through the gaps.I’ve had it a good month now and looks no different. It is just me in the bed and I don’t move much when I’m a sleep so can’t comment on extra activity.I would highly recommend. So glad I got it.

Bought this because the slats on my old wooden frame kept giving way. This has been a great bit. Lightweight but really sturdy. Lots of room under the bed to store stuff too. Great addition to my guest bedroom.

Very light package, very sturdy, no fuss assembly.It is much more comfortable with a mattress.Excellent product, highly recommend. Only improvement I would add is the ability to attach a standard headboard. (this is a very minor point)

Bought this as couldn't find a bed high enough for my comfort. Hated having to push up to get off the bed in the morning. Not with the ZInus SmartBase. Lightweight and easy to assemble, sturdy and gives a bit of extra under bed storage space. Wife didn't like the look of it originally but bought a valance to cover over the frame. Now I get down off the bed. I'm very very happy with this and would highly recommend.

Don’t normally do reviews but bought for crimbo. So easy to fold up/down - incredibly supportive whilst lightweight & the 45cm height is brilliant for underbed storage. Highly recommend.

Slowly replacing all our beds with these. Easy to put up and fabulously easy whem moving house or rooms. Very very sturdy & don't creak or squeak even with wiggly kids in them. I always get the higher frame as so much storage underneath, it easily fits the sift ikea kallax inserts or plastic boxes.

I was looking for a bed base other than a divan as i had already purchased a new mattress on amazon. this arrived in box about 4ft and was soooo easy to assemble i can see why a child is assembling it in their video. it seems very strong and sturdy. it took me about 20 mins from opening the box to getting the mattress placed on it. Do measure the height (the double fits my double mattress well) as my mattress is quite deep therefore together the bed is higher than it was before, which i love, and works for me but then i am 5,11. its a great product , plus there is now loads of storage space under the bed, i prefer it to the storage i had on my divan which was 4 draws but if a bed is up against a wall you lose access to two of them. this bed would manage a few suitcases underneath ,so great if you have people staying over with somewhere to place their things. im happy with my purchase
