Amazing piece of kit - an internet connection lifesaver!
Having moved to online working with a laptop that doesn't have an ethernet port, I became very aware that my livelihood was in the fickle arms of WiFi. This item - from the recognised TP Link brand and at a very reasonable price indeed - looked to be my trusty saviour. Thankfully, I have only had to use this once due to a WiFi issue, however it worked PERFECTLY. It was a WiFi cut-out with no warning in the middle of a meeting, so I didn't have time to mess about figuring things out... but this was literally plug and play. No installation required, just plug it in to an appropriate port, connect to your router via an ethernet cable and Bob's your uncle, good old-fashioned wired internet. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting a wired connection (who doesn't have an ethernet port) or anyone for whom constant connection is a necessity for work. It really is a no-brainer at this price.

Great Product ready to go straight out the box
Works as it should, plug and play straight out the box. Excellent addition to laptops that have not got an ethernet port any you need the speed.

Perfect except for some short-range 2.4GHz interference
I got two of the UE302C dongles to get dual 2.5G ports on my networking machine. They work great, don't overheat and the ethernet cable is securely in place, so the connection is stable. Their own USB-C connection isn't sufficiently shielded though, so they cause a lot of 2.4GHz interference due to them being USB 3 within about a foot. This caused issues with a Zigbee device nearby. Placing its antenna further away solves this, but this is a drawback to keep in mind given that TP-Link could've shielded this cable better pretty easily. It's a flat-style cable, which I find more annoying than helpful as well. They work perfectly otherwise though and reach the advertised speed (connected to an ARM machine running Linux)

Works well straight from the box
Worked perfectly straight out of the box. Bought to use with my Chromebook but was worried it might not work if it needed installation or or drivers to function. Well I plugged it in to the Chromebook and plugged in the ethernet and within seconds I was connected. Speed is good, I can stream my playstation over my Chromebook when I'm out with no issues at all Looks well made and I hope it'll serve me well for years to come

One if not the best.
This is one if not the best ehternet adapter out there right now compared to old PC Motherboard ethernet adapters. This delivers true 1000mbps speed with no jiterring or random stutters or drop outs on the connection itself. I remember when I was downloading couple of huge games and left my PC on for the night and when I woke up everything was downloaded and nothing was failed and there were no drop outs on the Internet itself too. There was also a online game running on the background throughout the night and even after all of these, it have not crashed or had any drop outs for the Internet. I love this product and would 100% recommend it any day.

Easy to install.
Amazing little adapter. Just plug into a USBC socket and you have a 2.5Gbit Ethernet port. Perfect for me, where my onboard LAN had failed, but the rest of the board is fine.

Reliable wired connection
The TP-Link UE306 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter is a lifesaver for work, especially if your device’s Ethernet port is damaged. This compact, plug-and-play adapter delivers fast, stable Gigabit speeds—up to 1000 Mbps—perfect for seamless video calls, file transfers, and reliable connectivity. I love how it instantly replaced my broken port, requiring no extra setup on my system. A very good product—highly recommended for a dependable wired connection!

Massively throttles ethernet speed.
Why did you choose this product over others?: Don;t expect gigabit speeds for this product. Just because it says gigabit on the box, it doesn;t mean you will get it. In reality the USB throttles the ethernet speed massively. I should be getting 900+, I was getting 250MB. The wifi gives me 600Mb. So I returned it. But for those who don;t have wifi and need the ethernet it will do the job i suppose.

My laptop doesn’t have a network port, and on top of that, the Wi-Fi signal in my office is very weak. I needed a stable connection, so I tried this small USB network dongle—and it fixed everything! I no longer need to replace my laptop. This gadget is a great and simple solution. Even if your device has an old network card, this adapter can upgrade your connection quickly and easily. Pros: Fixes weak or missing network connection Easy plug-and-play setup Great for laptops without Ethernet ports Works as an upgrade for older network cards Cons: None so far

While the adapter is great, on my 2023 Razer Blade it seems to cause a power issue and cause Kernel Error 41 in Windows. This adapter is hit or miss, be careful.

We recently switched to a Chromebook so none of our devices have LAN ports. I needed to adjust some settings on our home router (which is doable on wifi but much easier plugged in directly) so I needed a way to plug in my Chromebook directly to the router. This was perfect. If I were needing to hardwire a device for actual internet use and streaming I would probably spend the extra few dollars on something better but for what I was trying to do, this was exactly what I needed.
