Last time I bought these the red ink had been downgraded to a lighter poor-flowing shade. Are they back to the original red?

I had the same problem with the red ink running out the fastest on the multicolor pen. I finally bought a 12 pack of red BIC pens on Amazon for $1.79. (That's the total for ALL 12 pens.) I used the first one 5 days a week at work, several times a day, and it lasted me almost a year. I still have most of the rest. The red has changed- less ink and lighter

The ink has changed color over the years, but I have used these since about 1971. I hadn't noticed any particular change in the amount of ink of any particular color. It could just be a bad batch of red ink.

How do you refill the lead

TO refill the lead you simply twist the barrel to open it. Remove the metal piece on the lead tube. Insert no more than 2 leads and reassemble. I hope this is helpful. The BIC Team - The Official BIC Store

Can you refill this pen with basic fine point cartridges or do you have to use Medium cartridges like it originally comes with?

Excellent quality pens

These pens have a nice highly pigmented ink that is comparable to gel ink pens. I am very pleased with the ease of writing. I am glad that the pen doesn't leave blobs of ink as I write. The colors of the pen are true: deep red, true green, dark blue and deep black. I am very pleased with the quality of these ink pens.

Big fan of how BIC are designed, and these long lasting pens are STRONG, gentle writers it’ll last a long time, overall quality ink and highly recommend regardless of the profession or use of the pen.

Classic greatness

These are the only pens I use anymore. Loved them in 1972 and love them still in 2025! And this is the grown-up version!!

It's a pack of pens.

Classic 4 color click pens. Perfect for any use. I use them for writing out my shopping lists, doodling on notepads. You can unscrew them and look through the blue part, that's always fun. Sometimes I just like to hear the clicking, it's one of those ASMR things.

vengo usando esta marca desde hace varios años, y no la cambiaría por otra, he tenido otras marcas, que son más pequeñas, dura por lo tanto menos la tinta, no escriben con soltura, colores pálidos, etc. pero estas son las mejores y sobre todo a muy buen precio.
