This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to learn to read Hebrew. The way that Miko teaches really makes it easy to pick up fast and for it to stick. Truthfully with this book you should learn to read Hebrew in a lot less than six weeks. It’s such a great book/tool in fact that I loaned it to my neighbor who was needing to give a speech at her bat mitzvah and I asked for it back a few months later and she basically avoided me and refused to give it back and then moved. So now I’m contemplating having to purchase again because I’d like a refresher. Anyways bottom line is that with this book, Miko takes a very intimidating language to learn to read and makes it very simple, easy to understand, and does that in ways that are easy to retain. She is a great teacher and I’m thoroughly impressed with her methods. Learning to read Hebrew is fun with this book

This book is AWESOME! Bought the book awhile back, but life happened and tonight was the first night to open it. Initially, after reading the introduction, I thought, okay, I'll write a date on my calendar in hopes of finishing it by Passover; today's date is February 23rd. I decided to flip through some pages before writing my date down, next thing I knew I was halfway through it and within about an hour and a half, I'm READING HEBREW! Excellent teacher, excellent explanations and I couldn't be more thrilled! If you want to be reading Hebrew quickly, this is the book! A+++

Wow. Good book. Genuinely taught me how to read Hebrew. I had a little previous knowledge, but she cleared up all my confusion about vowels.

Such a fun way to learn the letters and especially the vowels. Very helpful! This was the main reason I got this book. For the vowels. Why and where they're positioned and of course for the sounds they make. I would love a book of basic sentence structure. Conversational Hebrew. Using elementary words building up to adult conversations. Now I need to memorize vocabulary. Anyone know of a good book for that? GB

I posted a vid review above and I stand by my words. This product overdelivered. I learned hebrew in two weeks, not 6. It's that good! You know the story of Helen Keller , blind and deaf? Anne Sullivan kept writing words in her hands and one day she connected "gibberish" to meaning. She might have been blind but now she could see. THe world was nown open to her. I felt this very same way. I thought i would never learn Hebrew. My boyfriend is Jewish and I wanted to learn Hebrew in time for his 2nd son's Bar Mitzvah (I have until August 2022 so I am ahead of schedule!) . Last year, right before Covid, his oldest had his bar mitvah. My filipina-american self had NEVER set foot in a synagogue. I had never really heard Hebrew before. I was moved by the service. The language was beautiful and I told myself , that the next time I stepped foot inside the synagogue, I would not have to read transliterations(and still be lost), I would learn Hebrew. Well a year past , I had bought another book online that made me feel I was a hopeless language learning case. I gave it one more shot. Bought this book and I could not put it down (also helped it was in large print! easy to read.) Fun drawings and memory hints make Hebrew a joy to learn. With each letter learned, the author also introduces new words. You are reading Hebrew from the very beginning! I remember shouting on the bus "I CAN READ!" when I realized I could understand. Everyone looked at me as if I was crazy but I did not care. I felt the blinders fall from my eyes. This was no longer an indecipherable code. The Alef-bet was accessible. A whole world was now open to me. My brain lit up, and could I feel it absobing as much knowledge as it could soak in. Craving more hebrew language! There is such joy in expanding one's knowledge and skill set. I thought i was too old at 44 too learn Hebrew. I am glad to say I was wrong. I have become closer to my boyfriend as a result of my learning how to read Hebrew (better than him I must add. HE still has to read the transliteration!) And I am bonding with his kids. I cannot stop searching out more Hebrew reading material. IF you are on the fence about getting this book. What do you have to lose? Nothing. You will gain the world!

I’ve tried other ways to learn to read Hebrew before and couldn’t get it. My son even teaches Hebrew and I was still having problems. I am 60yrs and learning a new language can be harder the older you are and this book made it so much easier for me. I’m a visual person and her pictures kept me interested and helped me put the sound to her example picture. It looks like it’s for kids and I’m sure that is so, but it really broke it down simpler. I told my son who teaches mainly adults about this book and how I think others will get it easier if he incorporated some of her methods. Now I am reading from the Tanakh and I’m so excited.

Fantastisk bok! Jag lyckades lära mig att läsa det hebreiska alfabetet på mindre än sex veckor, trots jobb. Lite känslosamt att plötsligt kunna läsa ord som "manna" och "sabbat" på Guds eget språk! Kan verkligen rekommendera.

This not only the best book, but the best way to begin Hebrew. I began with a renowned app, but it was very difficult and with a lot of gaps. This book was a turning point. It made Hebrew easy.

What a great book! It is so simple. The author has created a very easy, quick and fun way to learn Hebrew letters. I definitely recommend it. It's so enjoyable; written so simply and the images stick in your mind (helping you remember each letter). Definitely a winner. I can read half the alphabet, and some words using them, in just under 2 weeks since getting it. You could learn it much quicker if you did it every day. Fantastic book and learning system.
