QYTOYS Speed Cube Set

I had a 'Pyraminx' puzzle when I was younger. I wanted to give one as a gift to some young children. The first version was actually a 3x3 cube bought from a dollar store. It was... terrible. Couldn't rotate it. Had to have everything perfectly aligned and even then it was bad. So I went looking for a "speed cube" after checking things out online. I settled on these due to the reviews and the lack of stickers to worry about peeling off. These have been fantastic. Truly. From young children to elderly couples sitting near us in waiting areas these just work, are easy to manipulate, and are seriously fun. For the kids something new to learn and for me a blast from the past. Don't hesitate to buy these if you are looking for this type of puzzle. They are great and seem very durable so far. In fact they have been good enough that I bought a second set in a "transparently jelly" color scheme to help stop the fights between the kids they were given to over who gets to play with what.

Decent set of puzzles. I‘m not a huge QiYi fan, but for the price, this is a good buy. The Warrior W 3x3 turns decently enough, not too fast, controllable, but it is not incredibly stable. Right out of the box, it felt dry and stiff, and I honestly didn’t like it that much, but after breaking it in, I grew to really like its performance a lot more. The QiDi 2x2 is smooth, but dry and clacky and has a tendancy to lock up a bit. It‘s not my favorite 2x2, but it‘s far from my worst. The crowning jewel of this set is the QiMing Pyraminx. This puzzle is fantastic for the price. It’s smooth and fast, and the magnets add a great clicky tactile feel in addition to the stability they provide. Has to be one of the best budget puzzles of this type out there. Overall, this is a great set. The puzzles are all high quality, especially for the budget price, and the QiYi colors and frosted plastic give them a great look. Perfect for anyone getting into cubing.

Very nice cubes. Easy to turn and so smooth. Sturdy too as they have been dropped on tile and stayed intact. We had an old school set that was so hard to turn and another inexpensive cube as part of a kid’s party favor bag. These are so much better. We got three sets to play as a family.

My 9 y.o. got into his Rubik's cube phase, but I figured starting on the 2x2 would be a better place. So we got this set of 3 'cubes'. The overall build quality is very good. The turning action is smooth (i.e. little friction) and it feels solid for a set of 9 y.o. hands. Colors are vivid. Fact that it includes a 2x2, 3x3 and pyramid mixes things up and keeps it fresh. Would recommend.

Reviewed by my Son: I like the set I really do its just the 3x3 is cheaply made as I had to super glue some of the parts to keep it from breaking completely; however the pyraminx and 2x2 are good and turn very well, so ya I suggest to get another 3x3 if you are planing to use it for any type of tournament.
