Why does evwryone buy the bison premium tie down straps ? are they just better than straps which come with bag?

No sure but we only use the straps that came with the roof bag....they do the job.

do the straps hold effectively? and are they robust? my concern is if they are easily damaged

The straps are robust, I was really pleased with this purchase it exceeded my expectation. I used it a few times now with its first trip to Cornwall from Derbyshire for a camping holiday.. would have been lost without it, well worth the money.

what are the dimensions of the box when on the roof please? Need length and width if possible

I’m not really sure I bought it for a family member but they used it on top of a van if that helps,

What size would be best for camping trips?

With the 21ft bag and a large estate car I managed to pack for 2 adults and 2 children for a 4 night camping trip
