I finished my job
The first thing that mom asked me when I arrived unite states is buy the newest Vitamix. In my country, the machine from unite states is very expensive.I was very lucky to find the Vitamix 6300. However, i miss the discount and that was very bad for me.

perfect gift!
I purchased this for my daughter because I have had one since July and love love love it! The most effort you have to put into your smoothie, dessert, dinner project is shopping for the ingredients. Just measure, no chopping, put the ingredients in and turn it on. You are good to go. You can make a breakfast drink very quickly which will easily sustain you (with the recommended ingredients) until your next meal. It is a very powerful and there is plenty of room in the bowl for all your ingredients. My daughter is even eating veggies she would not normally eat at a meal. The blending of fruits, vegetables, yogurt, etc. really allows your taste buds to expand. This is no ordinary blender. This is a powerful piece of kitchen equipment which will not disappoint you.

Powerful and high quality was received quickly
We have an individual in our family who needs to be feed through a G-tube. We needed something more powerful and reliable than a regular blender. This blender works great for liquifying food. It was packaged well and shipped quickly and professionally. I thank the seller for their professionalism.

Save your money and get the 5200 this one doesn't work as well
I returned it because it the pre programmed settings were useless when making a smoothy, most of the time I would have to run the machine twice to completely blend the smoothy. I actually went through 2 of these from costco, the first one I got I managed to over heat it on the first try some how and it shut down for about 5 minutes, I tried unplugging it to see if that would reset it but it wouldn't turn on so I called their customer service number and I was explained that it was normal and that it would turn back on when the machine cooled off. It also had a burning smell which I was also told was normal. I kept it for a few days but my daughter had me return it for the platinum color same model because it matched our kitchen better. I was more careful with the Platinum 6300 that I got and didn't manage to over heat it, but it did have a burning smell to it at times. Another thing I really disliked about the 6300 is that it changes gears on its own, you could hear the motor starting out slow and eventually speeding up; although, there were times that it felt like it was slowing down on its own when it was struggling to blend.I gave it a lot of thought and decided to return it for the 5200 and I'm glad I did because the 5200 feels like it has more power, in fact it blends my drinks faster. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but the vitamix person told me that she also prefers the 5200 because it works better and because its "analog"

Great for making own healthy food and drinks
It really is a powerful machine. I only use it to make smoothies. It is very well made but you have to get used to the noise. It comes with a great recipe book. It shows you how to make smoothies, soup, almond milk. If you are trying to make your own healthy foods, this blender will work for you.

Works well--but too expensive to justify
I bought this latest model (6300) at Costco after the "road show" presentation almost 30 days ago. I was hesitant, but the salesman encouraged me to try it out for 30 days. I have made many things (about 60 in all)--smoothies, frozen desserts, soups and ice for snow cones; however, I will be returning it tomorrow. My personal experiences are as follows:I have followed the recipe book and instructions precisely, making sure I put each item into the container as directed. I have had to use the tamper many times. You cannot just turn on the machine and walk away; you have to put forth more effort than you would expect. This has been the case when making frozen desserts and smoothies; anything that involves frozen fruits (yes, I followed the instructions to thaw first) or when adding ice. I tried to crush ice to make snow cones, and even with the tamper, the blades simply could not handle it.I made tortilla soup with this three times. If you want your soup to have a totally smooth consistency, then you will appreciate this feature. I personally like my soup to have some texture, where you can actually taste the vegetables. If you choose to use the hot soup feature, be prepared for a wait and inevitably, a smooth consistency (think tomato soup). After three tries, I concluded that I would rather use my small food processor and then make my soup on the stove top vs. using the Vitamix.Every time we have made a smoothie, they have ended up being much too liquidy. You will need to add ice or shorten the time frame if you are looking for a Jamba Juice consistency. Perhaps my ideal consistency of a "smoothie" differs from the opinions of others. A smoothie made from a Vitamix is like drinking a Naked Juice. When using the frozen dessert feature, the tamper has been required every time. Period. The motor has actually smelled like it was overheating as I rushed to get the tamper in.In making salsa, I followed the recommended time in the recipe book. The Vitamix pulverized the ingredients so fast that my salsa ended up like tomato juice. The machine is just too big. At 20 inches tall, it does not fit on our counters, beneath the cabinets. It has been sitting on our kitchen island and really looks out of place. It is kind of funky looking anyway, with the pitcher being way too tall than what is needed. In conclusion, while the Vitamix may be perfect for some, this machine just personally was not for me. I am glad I tried it out as I have always wanted one. I am going with an Oster, which is $60, and has great reviews. My old Oster lasted 20 years and I have confidence in the brand. I know people say the Vitamix will last as long, if not longer, therefore paying for itself. Personally, I just cannot justify the $500+ price tag.
