The label says product of estonia. how then can the website say it is made in usa?

True. It says: PRODUCT OF ESTONIA MADE IN U.S.A. FROM U.S. AND IMPORTED INGREDIENTS. Made in the USA was a selling point for me. Apparently "made in" has nothing to do with where the ingredients come from.

If D2 is prescription only, how is this being made?

Prescription strength D2 is single tablets of 50,000 IU taken once a week for 2 - 4 weeks. Mega-doses of anything are potentially lethal and should be carefully regulated. I have hypo-thyroidism, severe depression and seasonal affective disorders and have been prescribed the mega-dose several times. I chose to take extra vitamin D to try alleviate some of the depression my antidepressants don't resolve but most of it is in the form of vitamin D3. I searched around and found several strengths of D2 in small enough levels which,when taken daily, equate to between 7,000 and 16,800 IU a week. That is a far cry from poisonous dosages and therefore do not require prescriptions. I have other health issues which necessitate frequent contact with my physician who is aware of my vitamin and mineral intake. She is curious to see if there is a difference in my thyroid hormone levels. My therapist was interested to note that while it doesn't make me happier necessarily, I do feel more alert and aware of the existence of the rest of the world on the days that I remember to take them. My recommendation is to not buy any D2 over the counter at a higher dosage than than 2,400 IU.

A person in July, said the label was misleading because it didn't say the vitamin had 2000 IU of D2, like the amazon advertisement. However, the label states each capsule has 50mcg, and low and behold that equals 2000 IU

Expiration Date almost impossible to read.

Cheap source of Vitamin D2. Expiration date is printed with a dark color on a dark bottle. A real challenge to read, even with a magnifying glass.
