I have a California desert tortoise who is over 30 years old, and he absolutely loves these pellets. They’re not just a treat for him—they’re a staple in his diet. Here’s how I serve them: I start by filling up a cup with water and sprinkling some pellets into it. I let them soak for a few minutes so they get nice and soft. Once they’re fully softened, I pour them over a bed of fresh lettuce. The pellets absorb the water and become mushy, making it super easy for my tortoise to bite and chew. They blend right in with his greens and he devours them happily! This method works great especially for older tortoises or any tortoise that might have trouble with harder foods. The texture becomes perfect—soft, moist, and easy to eat. Plus, the variety of colors and ingredients in the formula seem to keep him engaged and interested every time. Tortoise eats it but pieces are a bit big, I cut them up and all is good

I had to get these for my sulcatta because the small ones were out of stock, and these were cheaper, but after giving them to him I think they’re going to be his new favorite, because he absolutely shoveled them up, and looked at me afterwards like he wanted more. They’re much better than the small ones too, because I don’t have to give him as many, and if he dumps them in his substrate it’s easier to retrieve them than tiny pellets are. Plus they last longer too because they’re bigger, and not as many are needed. One handful is enough. Highly recommend these for owners with larger tortoises

I supplement my greens with factory made torts food. I don't feed my torts just this. I have to say there is one very famous fancy tortoise factory made food, none of my tortoises two species Russians neither Hermann's they won't even touch that famous brand. This type they munch away!

Tortoise loves it. This will last him a bit until I order more. Huge container. Great value as it is $14 local in pet stores for a 2 cup container. He is eating better. I sprinkle it on his greens daily and spray pellets with his vitamins and supplements.
