Hatched early, many babies, fairyshrimp food didn't work
I bought two of these kits for the hell of it, not really expecting much. Well, so far one of them has hatched weeks before the actual hatch date, and there are over 12 babies! The fairyshrimp capsules that came with the kit didn't hatch for me, but we already had a brineshrimp hatchery set up, so the baby killifish have had enough to eat. The killifish are about two weeks old now and going strong. The other kit isn't supposed to hatch until December, so no opinions on that one specifically, but that first kit was definitely worth it!

no hatch no nothing
Okay seems to be a nice idea but the work purchase this in may and received a set with a use date of August 1, Reread the instructions and follow them to the letter looked around in the peat moss couldn't find anything that resembled a fishing no little eyes is described even used a high-power magnifying glass to look saw nothing just to be sure took a very small amount of the soil and placed it in some distilled water just to see if I couldn't see the eggs because of my declining vision nothing hatched no fry know nothing Forward five days to repeated the check for eggs look for eyes same result as before tried say things took a small amount but it distilled water to see if anything would hatch out no fry yet again Tried again today at the +10 Mark still nothing to be seen in the peat moss tried again to force something to hack out by placing some of the peat moss and distilled water nothing I can only conclude at this point that while this is a great idea really don't get any fry out of this nice packaging no I cannot at this time recommend this product after waiting three months to see if we would get anything out of this nothing hatched

Make sure YOU know what YOUR doing. :)
Firstly, I did my research so I knew exactly what to do for these eggs and fry. I also have experience rearing fry. In no way am I affiliated with this company other than buying their product, I do not claim to be an expert, my advice is for educational purposes in hopes it may help someone else. I kept a close on on the weather so I knew when to order. 5/6/2024 So far it's been a week I have been able to successfully hatch 29 fry in 2 batches. The rest of the eggs are re-drying for another try. 3-5 fry are visible and swimming around in their tank at any given time. I have not been able to accurately count the survivors just yet. They have healthy appetites as they are growing well. Most have doubled in size. So far things are looking good! I will update this post until all fry are gone or we get adults.

Low hatch rate
I'm a killi keeper. Tried this on a lark. Five hatched, four currently survive. You be the judge.

Do not purchase from this company. First off they shipped eggs during hottest months of summer with no insulation or ice pack. Eggs were at almost 100 degrees upon arrival and I'm sure they got hotter than this during transit. Eggs are not going to survive that heat. Also looked at eggs using a 17.5x jewler scope. I did purchase the foreshi as well found no fertile eggs. Rachovii I found 15 eggs with small fry with eyes but no movement in the egg and nothing has hatched. So 15 possible out of 120 eggs for two orders is very bad. Also they are not going to hatch nothing will survive that heat. Buy else were do not give this company your money. I also sent seller a message no response in little over 24hr so far. I will change review if company makes it right. update company did not make it right and is extremely rude. it has now taken me days to get shipping label to return. This is by far the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. This company is ripping people off by shipping eggs with no protection from heat or cold. No eggs are going to hatch unless ordered during just the right weather conditions.

Good shipping. Possible bad batch
Good product. Packaged well. Shipped fast. I think i got a bad batch as i only had 1 hatch in a tank by theirselves. Would have liked a few more to hatch. Trying to take very good care of the solo that is alive in its own 2 gal tank. Hard to tell at times as it is very tiny if its still alive or not. Sometimes it pops out, sometimes i wounder if its there.

Great hatch rate! Gorgeous fish!
I’ve bred all types of colorful fish species from African cichlids to rainbow fish, however, I gotta say these are some of the most colorful & interesting fish I’ve ever raised. The fish are just now growing to adulthood and they’re unbelievably colorful. They have very interesting behavior as well. It’s a shame they don’t live long but that’s to be expected with seasonal killifish. Definitely recommend picking them up! I will begin a very cool breeding project once they’re adults. Lastly, the biggest and most colorful of them have been in an outdoor tub. I didn’t intentionally put them out there at first, they were accidentally thrown in a bucket when doing trimming so there wasn’t any care, no water changes, airation, feeding, etc, the fish had little to no care until I realized they were out. Definitely a cool summer tub fish!

Pleasantly surprised!!!
Cons: Hatch date was about two months after purchase. Directions are not very clear. Food provided did not hatch so I had to find this elsewhere. Pros: actually hatched! Have a solid number of fry (maybe about 20?) and plan to dry out the peat and try again in a few weeks. I’ll update as they grow if I can!

Ça fonctionne ! Je suggère parcontre une culture de microvers et des rotiferes pour la première semaine. Je me suis informée sur YouTube pour avoir plus de connaissances. Ne pas commander durant l'hiver, expédié de Thaïlande.

I recently purchased these with a hatch date of October 10th / but none of the eggs have moving fish in them even when they have eyes... Three have hatched early without moving... And there was a few dry eggs ,, eggs that looked crack or already hatched( exspectable) ...the mail office had them cold,, idk if that's an issue. I'll add to this after October 10th and let them know.
