Great Material, garbage Quality Book
Materials is great. Well formatted. Clear examples. Thorough explanations. But the actual physical quality sucks. Pages are super thin, about 1/4 of them got stuck together from printing so I’ve had to destroy page after page to even read half the book (and the pages are so thing they just rip). You would think that for hundreds of dollars a printing company would emphasize quality material...but ironically not. Not even for a mechanics of materials book...

The examples are also easy to follow
Let's be honest: if you're looking at this book, you probably need it for a class. That said, I still refer to it for other classes and it has lots of helpful tables and information. The examples are also easy to follow. Of all the books I have had to buy for school I actually liked this one. It's a great reference to have on-hand and I'm glad I bought it.

Best textbook ever?
Pretty quality for a textbook. I only feel slightly overcharged, so I consider it an achievement in required academic literature.

Great book by Gere and Goodno
It’s a good book for self study. Both students and practicing engineers alike can benefit from comprehensive treatment of topics.
