Extremely Well Made, Easy to Program Biometric Gun Safe
I was extremely impressed with how well made this safe is. Everything about it exudes quality, from the textured heavy grade steel to the packaging (the precision made metal keys came in a small black cardboard box inset into the packaging foam, with the word "Keys" on it). Programming the keypad and fingerprint sensor is very easy. Instead of gas cylinders that can over time lose their charge, this safe uses strong springs to open it when unlatched. The biometric fingerprint sensor works great: just lay your previously programmed finger onto it and presto, the top springs open virtually instantaneously and the LED inside lights up. (I tried it with other non-programmed fingers; it blinks an error indicator and does not open.) [NOTE: If you prefer to not use the keypad or fingerprint sensor for some reason, there is always the option of opening the case with either the two keys that come with it. Just don't leave the keys where a kid or other unauthorized person can find them.] The case comes with a black vinyl coated heavy duty steel cable with a loop at one end and the other end being a threaded bolt, so you can wrap the cable around an immovable object (e.g., eyebolt in wall, or the headboard of an antique metal bed), and then stick the threaded end of the cable into a hole in the back of the case, and secure the cable by screwing the provided stainless steel nut onto the bolt that is protruding into the interior of the safe. I have three pistols stored in mine nestled in the slotted foam block that came with the case, with room for another pistol in the foam. The layout is as shown in the product listing: butts of guns being at the front of the box behind the compartment containing the keypad and electronics, muzzles pointed to the back. My largest pistol is a Beretta 9mm 92FS Compact semiautomatic; it fits fine but there is very little extra room at either end. The other two guns are smaller revolvers; they fit with plenty of room left over. If you have a longer gun(s), you can mount it side to side (there is more room this way because the battery compartment, keypad, sensor and electronics are located along the front part of the box, whereas there is nothing at either end except the side of the box). I feel confident that this safe will last for years, and protect our great-grandkids from getting into my guns.

Wow
I'm actually very impressed with this safe. The fingerprint reader works great unlike my last one that coulnd't read me for 10+ attempts sometimes, especially in the winter when my hands crack and get rougher. It's fast to open both with the reader and with the keypad and installing batteries was very easy unlike some safes that need a screwdriver. Likewise, the program button is easy to access. The documentation mentions a tool to press the button but my safe didn't come with one, and the button is very easily pressed with just your finger, no tool needed, and it's not in an awkward place. It's quite spacious as well taking up just a bit more space than my last one but allowing room for 2 more handguns than my previous one did. The value for the price on this safe is insanely good too. You can barely buy dinner for your family for the cost of this safe. Also one of my biggest issue from china manufacturing is the horrible smells coming from it. This safe does not have that insanely toxic smell that causes me to return so many "made in china" products. Do keep in mind that these handgun safes are not really safes and are more of lockboxes that are meant to keep unauthorized users out, not thieves. Like all other handgun "safes" i've owned, it would be fairly easily opened with some tools and a bit of work. However, to keep guests and children out, it does what it's supposed to as well as any other I've owned. My only real gripe is it has a lockout (10 minutes IIRC) if you enter the wrong code 5 times in a row. I don't know if this applies to bad fingerprint reads too or not (hopefully not). I do not want my gunsafe inaccessible because of hitting bad combos under stress, in the dark, etc. It's a feature I wish I could turn off just in case.

Great lock box
While I might not trust this if I had children, this is a great low cost box to keep your firearms in. The fingerprint reader is just ok .. i submitted 3 versions of 1 thumbprint to make sure each area of my thumb is recognized and it still won't read it unless it's perfectly aligned somehow. You can still use the buttons, and make them silent so that's a plus. I have 4 handguns locked away, and my 1911 is the largest it will fit - the barrel end and dovetail touch front and back, however if I limited myself to 2-3 firearms and rotated everything 90° it would fit fine. It will hold a couple loose mags but no boxes of ammo when loaded up. If you're storing 1 one firearm you have more room. The interior is cheap foam and serves it's purpose. It also has holes to hard mount to a flat surface. I'm happy with it for now, until I need a bigger box.

Very good but, not great
Here’s the issue… Make sure you use fresh batteries. I put in batteries that were in a drawer and were slightly old but unused. It would almost work. I put in fresh batteries and it worked perfectly. Pay attention to the 5 beeps (that means the batteries are on the way out). Once you’ve done that. Setup is quite easy. It holds multiple fingerprints and that setup is equally easy and confirmed with positive beeps. The instructions are right on and simple to follow. The defeat for the annoying beeps is to hold down the number 1 for 5 seconds. It will no longer beep but, there is an audible click when it unlatches, nothing to bad. The foam is fairly soft and will hold without marring. Also enough room so you can pitch up the weapon for the more “ergonomic” pull. Remember, this is a desktop safe. It will keep little fingers safely away from your firearms. It will also keep the curious acult fingers out. Of course anchoring is the best way but, still this not the 500lb safe that the average break in wouldn’t be able to defeat. Even with the cable this will likely be either destroyed or stolen outright. For the price and what this is, you are getting a value. I’m going to either hide and anchor or hide and tether. Don’t make it easy for someone.

Good Little safe!
I use this to keep my 9mm locked up. It is the perfect size for my needs. I am sure if someone was intent on getting into it, they could. But it keeps my pistol away from little kids' hands and prying eyes. My one gripe is the fingerprint reader. It works fine, but it is focused on a small portion of your fingertip. Be patient and practice using it. You can also mute the sound so that is a nice feature to have.

A great option for 1 or 2 pistols
It is sturdy, the company is good, the keypad is great, and the fingerprint reader is flawless. An added benefit is that it plugs in so that if your battery fails you still have power. The key backup design is nice. You actually have to a flathead screwdriver to get the cover off. An extra cover was included. Overall, this is a great safe for 1 or 2 pistols (you could fit 3-4 depending on size, but without extra mags. This safe is flexible enough to fit your needs). This is my suggestion: Put only 1 or 2 pistols in it. The top shelf is for your easy access home defense pistol with extra mags. This one will have plenty of light to see and you can easily draw since the top shelf has a little more space. The bottom space is for your CCW with extra mags. You'll have the room light on when getting that anyway and you won't be in a hurry usually (with the removeable shelf installed there is no light on the bottom). If you only want this safe for 1 pistol you can remove the shelf and the perfect way to use this. For one pistol I would say this is perfect. I have a large pistol with weapon light extended beyond the barrel, 2 extra mags in a pouch standing up in the safe, a knife, and ear protection. I would have room for a small flashlight as well if I wanted to. Using this for one pistol is ideal for me because my draw does not have to be perfect since I have more space without the shelf. There is plenty of light. Again, it is sturdy, great fingerprint reader, and I know customer service would be helpful if you ever had questions. There's another safe of theirs that I would be interested in the future.

Works as expected
Easy to program. It pops open without issue using either the Fingerprint or code. Also pops open with the key. Easily holds four Handguns and some magazines. It can be secured to a wall or whatever so that it can't be taken. Seems as durable as any pistol safe I've seen, and at a decent price. Admittedly I was a little concerned about a battery operated safe, but the key works just as well so its not an issue. All in all good value all things considered. Why can't I get a free product to review????????

Dangerous !! The door opens by itself. One mistake will kill you or your love one.
I was very happy to get this safe. It was nicely built and at a fair price. I have used it since October 2024. There are a few times that I noticed that the door was open and the gun exposed when I came home at night. First I thought I was being reckless and left it open. By the third time it happened, I was very alarmed and I made sure that I closed the door and yanked on it a few times to make sure that it was closed completely. Yesterday it was opened again. This morning I told my wife about the incident and I closed the door with her as a witness. I told her to keep an eye on it for me. My wife does not have finger print or combination to the safe. In the afternoon, my wife called me at work to say that the door flung open. This is not good for a gun safe especially if the door would flap open from gravity because this is a bottom hinged door. Once the lock mechanism disengaged the lock, the whole door flung open. This is unsafe. Now my guns are open and in plain view. With children in the house, this is not acceptable. Even it opened by itself once it is still not acceptable. It happened a few times to me...Life is at risk here.
