It works best for me to take it in the morning after breakfast.

Is this USP verified?

I asked my doctor about taking this, and she said that there was no proof that it helped anything. So I don't take it.

I would imagine it would work for men and women...look at the box to see if there's a contact number. You might want to contact Costco's customer service. I LOVE this product and wouldn't live without it.
