I always leave some of this outside so my girls have the option to eat some grit. This is good value for the amount of grit you get. These bags always last me quite a while before I have to buy more.It's incredibly important to leave grit outside for your chickens so they can digest their food (or forage). Chickens don't have teeth, so they need grit to act as teeth and bust food up. If you don't leave grit out, you risk crop impaction.

I love using this in my chicken coop. It not only helps support my chickens’ digestion, but it also refreshes the coop and leaves it smelling nice after a cleaning. It last a great while. Very easy to use. A great product for keeping both the flock and the coop in good shape.

Good grit replacement for chickens. Size is good for small to medium sized birds. Hens seem to like it.

As expected!

Our chickens have access to sand and dirt with lots of rocks so I thought they were fine but one got sour crop and this product came up as something to help prevent it. Once she was on the mend, we offered her some of this grit and she went crazy eating it. Then we offered it to the other girls and it was gone in a flash. They think it's a better treat than even meal worms. It's been a few months and no more problems with swollen or sour crop!
