Why did this av adapter not work for me? could not mirror or anything with my iphone 13 pro

I just tried my 13 pro max and it's a no go. works perfect with my iPad.

Does this work with iPad Air 5th generation?

I have an iPad Air 2, works great for me, love it, my husband is ill and spends time in an electric bed and it works great on a TV that’s probably at least 5years old! It’s been wonderful for him and for me, I’ve certainly been appreciative of being able to stream as well as we have been able to visit family using it. I do not know about 5th generation, I only have the iPad Air 2!

Does this work with the espn app

I tried ESPN this evening and it did not work. The ESPN app recognizes it is screen sharing and disables the broadcast.
