Solid!
I've always preferred IR for my pneumatic tools. They've never let me down. It's a great grinder and has the power if you've got the PSI and CFM's. It doesn't have a button for locking the collet so you'll still need 2 wrenches to loosen/tighten the collet. There is no speed adjustment. It feels good in the hand and functions as expected. I'm running it on a 20 gallon compressor that puts out 6.1 CFM's at 90 PSI. It eats up a lot of air so my compressor being only 20 gallons runs constantly but never drops below 90PSI when using the tool. But I don't have an ordinary 20 gallon compressor either, I've upgraded pulley sizes on my pump and motor, hi-flo couplers, copper tubing sizes, etc... Most compressors my size don't have the capability to run this tool for more than a limited amount of time. You'd probably want at minimum a 30gallon compressor for this tool that puts out 6cfm at 90PSI.

Good quality Ingersol product!
Works good as expected with the ingersol name. Wish it had a speed adjustment. It’s either on full blast or off. I did buy a separate brass air control valve to adjust the amount of air that goes into the tool. It attaches right on the inlet coupling. Wish this item came with similar air adjuster from the factory.

Ingersoll Makes The Best Air Tools.
At this point, I am a Ingersoll fan boy. EVERY air tool I have from them outperforms every competitor brand. EVERY SINGLE TOOL. Any attatchment with a shank that fits this tool will work. I mostly use this as a surface cleaner with abrasive discs, but another popular use is with cutoff wheels. I have used other popular tool truck angled air tools and NONE OF THEM have THIS amount of power. 90 psi and this little tool SCREAMS. If you've ever used an electric dremel on high speeds, it's louder and higher pitched than that, so I'd recommend ear protection. But with abrasive discs and cutoff wheels, you will clean faster and cut faster than the others. I have cut 2"-3" in 2 minutes with cutoff wheels. The only two downsides: Wheel RPM and speed control. With how powerful and how fast the tool spins, you will go through cutoff wheels and abrasive discs faster than other brands. The abrasive discs I go through 1 after cleaning 6 cylinder heads as with other brands it's 8-10. Cutoff wheels I use 1 every 2 2.5" exhaust cut. I mentioned speed control earlier; I might as well not have, because it's either full throttle, or badly tuned carb idle. What I mean is the air control pintle that you squeeze with your hand is extremely stiff. Even with oiling, it's stiff. It's really hard to get an inbetween speed. I might spend 5 minutes trying to adjust to a preferred RPM. Other than the cons, the pros far outweigh and the 60 cost is far cheaper thsn most. 4/5

powerful, precise, and built like a pro tool.
I used the Ingersoll Rand 3101G to clean up weld seams, grind down rust spots, and deburr metal parts in my home shop. I loved the compact right-angle design for tight spots, the solid 1/4" collet that held bits without slipping, and the surprisingly smooth, vibration-free performance at high RPMs. The trigger feels durable. I highly recommend it for metalworkers, fabricators, and serious DIYers

It’s an Ingersoll Rand. The Cadillac of air tools at a decent price. It’ll last years. Money well spent.
