RCBS 90164 Headed Decapping Pins 5Pk, Black

I was looking for a replacement for Hornady pins as well as RCBS. Sometimes finding the right size is difficult to do when details like measurements isn't provided. This is the measurements I took with a caliper that I use for reloading. It is pretty accurate, more worried about my errors than the tool. This should be really close. Tiny differences could just be me. Overall length: 18.28mm 0.72 inches 23/32 inch. Head diameter: 3.53mm 0.139 inches 9/64 inch. Head length: 2.91mm 0.115 inches 15/128 inch. Pin diameter: 1.76mm 0.07 inches 9/128 inch. These do not fit my Hornady dies but do fit perfectly my RCBS dies. The head is a tiny fraction larger and bottoms out on the threads of the Hornady collars. It doesn't slide into the collar all the way. If one has a small lathe, one could likely take off a little but I don't have one to test. Best to find a known Hornady brand for Hornady. Comparing to my other pins, they appear to be well made. These do fit RCBS perfectly. They do not fit a Hornady die. I hope this info helps someone else who only needs Hornady pins. Now to dig for the right ones for Hornady. I do have some extra RCBS ones tho.

At some point in time you will eventually break a decapping pin; you buy a five pack of these at a very low cost and keep them on your reloading benches spares. Get you back up and running in no time.

I 3d print a LOT and several of the items I print require this specific size screw. I googled this size and everywhere else they were about 2-3 dollars for a pack of 2. So when I came across this bag for about 10 dollars I couldn't believe it. They arrived, I've used them and they are great.

Always keep on hand just in case. Been using RCBS dies for over a quarter century and will continue.

I stocked up for the Decapping pins. They are well made and super sturdy. Metal is very hard that is the reason why once and a wile they are breaking when you are Decapping and it doesn't hit perfectly the flash hole. What is a normal thing. I get at least 500 rounds decapped before a pin breaks. It's always a good thing to have them stocked up.
