I purchased the product after reading other reviews and deciding this was a good first try. Not having to deal with any problems before, it was a shot in the dark for me. The product worked very well and on a couple different surfaces without any discoloration, warping, staining issues. I had an area of carpet - just poured it on and worked it around. An area on a wicker basket - the first time daubing it on with an old rag, the second spraying with a spray bottle. An area of vinyl window molding - working with rags and plain old just dumping it in the crevices. No problems on any of the surfaces. It has a very pleasant scent to replace what you are trying to get rid of while it does its work. My only con for the product was that the cat came back to the same areas. I cannot say if it was that the cat just liked those areas or if it could smell its marking from earlier. All in all: Very Pleased with the product.

Stink Free Instantly! Pet Urine-Odor Remover I discovered Stink Free a few years ago after my cat peed on my BRAND NEW MATTRESS the week after I bought it. I had already tried practically every other product out there. I didn't want to try another product that claimed to be odorless and remove the urine odor. I didn't want odorless... I wanted something that would permanently remove the urine odor AND would make things smell good in the process. Stink Free smells like fresh laundry. Stink Free made my new mattress feel brand new again. It has since saved several chair cushions. Luckily, my cat only pees on furniture occasionally, and almost always when I'm out of town or, unfortunately, when I bring a new large piece of furniture (like a big new mattress) into the house. I'm about to purchase a new couch and am glad to have Stink Free on hand just in case. As for the cats that consistently pee on carpet, etc., I imagine Stink Free would improve the situation, but usually for a chronic, frequently-occurring problem like that, it's obviously best to somehow stop the cat from the behavior altogether! I know someone dealing with that situation right now and while I've recommended Stink Free for her, and it's helped, it can't make the cat stop peeing on the carpet regularly. :-( My one complaint is that no pet stores near me carry Stink Free. In Philadelphia it was easier to find but here in San Francisco, I'm unable to find it at all. Even the Petco around here (which is where this Amazon.com version ships from) doesn't carry it! Related to that complaint is how Petco prepared it for shipping. Unfortunately, they didn't make sure the bottle cap was on tightly and the Stink Free leaked onto the several layers of plastic the bottle was wrapped and even into the shipping box, which arrived with one corner soaked in Stink Free. At least my package smelled good. But it was a bit messy to clean up when it first arrived...

This does an excellent job of cleaning up traces of urine. I am toilet-training two kittens (yes, it sounds nuts, but lots of people have done it: just look it up on Youtube). I'm about 2/3 done, with a quite small litter tray in the toilet bowl. However, if that small litter tray has been used, one of my kittens will not wait for me to clean it and will find a substitute. For those times, it's essential to clean up ALL the urine smell, and STINK FREE seems to do it. Pros: It works well. There were two pre-finished hardwood floor areas in our basement game-room that been peed on more than once (sigh!) and after I'd used STINK FREE they lost their attractiveness completely. Cons: 1. It only has a small smell when out of the bottle, but on the hardwood, or if I've gotten a bunch on my hand, I can smell it, and initially I'd thought that was a smell of pee, so gone back to clean and clean.... Cleaning gloves keep it off your hands, though for small amounts of pee I don't need them. 2. On some hardwood floors, it may dull the finish. Our pre-finished plank floors are just fine, and a site-finished floor whose sheen is just a little duller in the area I'd wiped. As luck would have it, the pre-finished ones are in our game-room, and it's the 2nd that is at the top of the stairs, just below an awesome tubular skylight, so the dulled finish is a bit noticeable as I climb the stairs toward the light.

I don't leave reviews very often, but this product deserves massive amounts of praise. I have two cats and a dog and a new home. The cats have peed on the stair landings, and the dog has a spot in one of the bedrooms that she pees in if she gets scared. I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the odor from the pet urine and it really was affecting my life -- I have a beautiful new home and I was really upset about the carpets being 'ruined'. I had carpet cleaners out here TWICE and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars for carpet treatments that didn't even work. I tried Nature's Miracle, some kind of Oxy Petco product, and even a natural remedy I read about online that involved baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, scrubbing and vacuuming -- NOTHING took the awful odor away. I was THISCLOSE to ripping out the carpets and spending a bunch more money when I read the reviews for Stink Free and decided to give it a try. It is AMAZING. I poured the product on both of the affected areas and the odor was instantaneously gone. No scrubbing, no dabbing, no blotting - easiest thing ever. The scent left behind is reminiscent of Febreze - it smells like clean laundry. It's been a few days since applying and the horrible smells are still gone. In fact, I had the door closed in the bedroom with the dog pee and I opened the door this morning to a beautiful smelling room. Such a relief!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU for this product. I am stocking up on the gallon sizes!

This stuff really works. I have seven small dogs that have plenty of accidents. I use as directed and no more odor.

Omg! Finally something on the market that work. I have 2 bengal cats and some has decided to establish dominance over my older cat so he is marking my dining room and vent. This product really work! I used it once, let it dry,and used it again yesterday. Saturated the area as the instructions say and let it dry. The cat keeps walking and sniffing but no more pee. Excellent product. Will be purchasing one more as a back up.
