Can this hold up to Arizona heat?

Please note that Kilmat is designed to reduce sound and vibro insulation of metal surfaces. It has some thermal insulation properties but for the less extend. Kindly note that Kilmat material has a working temperature from - 49 degrees to 212 degrees F with allowance for only short term heating of up to 392 degrees F. Let us underline that Kilmat cant be installed in the engine compartment, only under the hood in combination with headliner. All of our materials should be installed from the interior (cabin) side of a vehicle No exterior application allowed!

Restoring a old car pulled up all the mastic from original but cant get it all if i cannot get it perfect cleaned up will it still be ok to put down

The idea of the sound deadener is to bond it without voids to the metal. This keeps the metal from vibrating. A little mastic should not be a problem. Just make sure you press out all the voids.

Can this go under the hood without melting?

Kilmat 100 mil material is mainly intended to reduce noise, rattles, and vibrations of the metal of a vehicle. And it's not intended for thermal insulation and shouldn't be used as a heat shield. It has a working temperature from - 49 degrees to 212 degrees F with an allowance for only short-term heating of up to 392 degrees F. Kilmat 100 mil must not be installed in the engine compartment(except for the underside of the hood). The temperature under the hood might be really high. For this reason, if the material is being installed under the hood, we normally recommend using Kilmat 100 mil in combination with the hood liner material. The first layer that goes on a hood metal would be Kilmat 100 mil material The second layer on top of Kilmat 100 mil would be a hood liner-type material to protect it from excessive heat. We are sorry, but we do not carry hood liner materials, but one can easily find them on the market.

Is 100mm good for a sound system or what size mm do i need?

Works good for me. Can always add more layers to own preference. Honestly any sound deadening better than nothing

Absolutely Incredible.

I purchased 8 boxes, it was enough for the Toyota FJ Cruiser: double layered on the roof, double layered on the rear wheel wells, the entire floor and trunk area, front and rear pillars. all of the doors and suicide doors with double layer in the speaker areas.This stuff has quieted the car down plenty in the and when you knock on the panels from the outside makes the car feel more solid instead od the previous hallow. I changed my speakers and now the car sounds amazing even with the stock subwoofer. In total it took me about 33 hours to DIY this but the material being in pre-cut rectangles helped alot.I would massively reccomend for anyone who has a noisy car. The foam does not work in the desert because of the heat. But I have had zero issues with this even after a week and leaving the car outside in UAE summer.
