Are there ice packs on the front, sides, back and top? Will it fit a larger head?

It does. It has one of the front, one on both sides and a long one from the back to the top. Its slightly adjustable, it fit my boyfriend but just barely. Wish i had a measurement for you. His only complaint is that its a little too cold straight out of the freezer(hes bald).

Our daughter bought an ice beanie for her dad. Can it just be left in the freezer all the time until needed?
