Scuba Series

This worked perfectly for diving with my GoPro and light rig. It attached easily and didn't cause much strain on my hands with its retraction Force. I also really appreciated the locking feature which was very helpful. It's well made and worked really well.

The retractable line broke off during my first year of ownership, so I found the mfgr website and sent them an email message requesting warranteed replacement. They replied and asked for a photo, proof of purchase, shipping addresss. They sent me a replacement, new, works great!

Rusted after first use. We cleaned with fresh water and let out to dry.

I love these extractables but they do need some rework to be safe for scuba diving. 1st and foremost remove the suicide clip. Replace it with a small D ring you can get here at amazon and a double ender. The other end you can keep the weird wire thing or drill it out and put a key ring circle thingy ( the wire thing is useful at times). I like them but they don't support a lot of weight. I use mine, one for my camera (cheap gopro knockoff) and the other for my backup compass. Scuba Divers, just please remove the suicide clip if you plan on diving wrecks or any other situation that may have an entanglement risk. Otherwise really good.

Great in every way. Solid product, built well. It come with an option to have a key ring attachment. It ended up being a little to bulky and over built for me for my office / school setting but will absolutely use it for my outdoor/diving/gun range activities. (I’m pretty sure that’s what it was meant and built for anyways.

The retraction is too weak to hold a flashlight tight. I couldn't imagine connecting my camera to it.

Unfortunately, even though the loop too hook items to is made of metal cable, the actual retractable line is not. They definitely still feel relatively solid and definitely have the resistance levels they claim but I would have thought for the price and the description of quality - not to mention the fact that they use steel cable on the loop portion - it would have been steel cable. Like I said they still seem pretty solid however with my use they probably wouldn’t last a month. Also the largest sized one has a locking mechanism so you can lock it while extended etc. which is something I guess.

I bought this to keep my AI dive computer close to my body and in a place that’s easily accessible. It installed very quickly, it has lasted many dives, and has never given me any issues. I’m happy with the length of the cord and the strength of the spring to retract the cord. It definitely helps to streamline my diving profile. I’ve thought about buying a few more to keep other gear tidy. Definitely would recommend.

Currently putting it through its paces. First thing that happened though was that the universal end fitting (metal wire) kept popping off, dropping everything on it. It seems the slightest funny angle lets one end pop through - repeatedly, rendering it useless. Now using the more traditional split ring attachment (+1 that they include options) and it is more secure. Belt attachment as good as any hook and loop type I have used.
