I am using a couple of these in a woodworking shop. They're the best way I've found to connect dust collection adapters directly to machines. This coupler gives me an alternative to putting an in-line reducer between two separate hose diameters. I find in-line reducers to be klunky. Furthermore, when you maintain a larger hose diameter hose all the way to the machine, you will end up with higher velocity, ergo better dust collection. Different than PVC fittings, workshop dust collection fittings are specified by their OUTER diameter. Dust collection hoses are all specified by INNER diameter. If you want to connect a standard 4" hose to a machine with a 3" outlet (or reduce it to a standard 'shop vac' sized hose), you essentially need a very short piece of hose and some hose clamps. The problem is that using a piece of standard dust collection hose is not very robust, any you may have to buy 20' of hose just to get a 4 inch section. These couplers are the preferred alternative. They're cheap, stiff, durable, and create a semi-permanent way to 'adapt' 2.5" and 3" dust ports to standard sizes when combined with the appropriate adapters.

It fits and works very well on my Ford 4.0L OHV V6 engine.

I bought 2 of these in conjunction with some of the Spectre intake pieces to create a new air intake for my car. These couplers work great for a fantastic price! If I need anymore in the future I will be buying Spectre.

goood stuff, i actually bought several of these to use for a custom snorkel setup for my off road 2008 impreza 2.5i. the materials they used feel more like silicone than pvc... like a single ply silicone not like my expensive 4 ply silicone couplers i used on my sti... but for the price you can't go wrong, it comes with 2 clamps and fitment is perfect for all 3 inch piping. i would say this is a win win, if you need couplers go for these... i'll post pictures of my snorkel setup if amazon let's you revisit reviews.

Best option if you want a pair of Spectre branded clamps to match your other parts. Fit perfectly over the 3" Spectre filter. For the cost I now have a spare clamp and hose adapter, compared to purchasing a single clamp at near the same price.

El roducto es de un muy buen material, lamentablemente mi vehiculo necesitaba un cople adicional ya que el filtro tambien era de hule o goma y al calentarse las piezas el filtro se caeo por su peso.

This comes with a internal sleeve to adapt down from 3" to 2 1/2". But it worked well on my 3 1/4" throttle body. Just put it in boiling hot water for a minute...works like a charm!
