This album was the biggest Bon Jovi album ever. More than 20 million of copies sold. We got real rock anthem such as "Bad Name" "Prayer" or "Dead or Alive" and also, amazing powerful songs like "Die for You" or "Wild in the Streets", not forgetting lovely ballad like "Without love" and "Never Say Goodbye" and some other great songs. The original order of the album was Pink Flamingos Raise Your Hands Edge of a Broken Heart Never Enough Never Say Goodbye Social Disease Die for You Wild in the streets Dead Or Alive Borderline (Bad Name was plained for Loverboy and Prayer was rejected by Jon) After a lot of doubts about the album, Desmond Child was called and he made the big change over the album. Never Enough was changed for Let it Rock, and the initial version of Never say goodbye that was wrote and sang by Richie Sambora was recorded again twice and changed by Jon's version. Bad Name was fully recovered and converted to a classic one, Prayer was included and turned out to a Hit. Borderline was left for a promotional single with the same name and Edge of a Broken Heart was left as a soundtrack. On 2005 the album was remixed on a 5.1 audio version. We have seen many bon jovi albums but if you wanna know the spark of their glory... This album will be the whole story.

This review is for the vinyl edition: I am blown away by this release. The music sounds absolutely amazing, the pressing is flawless and the packaging is a faithful recreation of the original 86' release, right down to the design of the inner sleeve. In a time when I see too many classic albums being pressed on new vinyl, the trend seems to be stretching it out to fill two LP's which leads to a bloated feel that is tiring to listen to due to the constant need to change sides. Not the case here! This is how represses of classic albums should be done. If you are a vinyl lover and a Bon Jovi fan, this is a must own.

When anything thinks of 'glam rock', or 'hair metal', I'm certain one of the first songs they think of it 'Livin' On A Prayer', maybe even 'You Give Love A Bad Name'. Such were some of the first songs that got me into music in the first place. And they're only *two* reasons why Slippery When Wet is a phenomonal record. Bon Jovi had released two adequate records in terms of success, previously - though, I will say they are flawless albums in their own right - and this, their third, flung the New Jersey boys into global stardom. The first half of the record is solid glam rock, with the sinister organs of 'Let It Rock' barrelling into a flaming beacon of what's to come. An underrated track, for sure, and a great opener. 'You Give Love A Bad Name' is just a classic, with roaring chorus and explosive guitar from Richie Sambora. 'Livin' On A Prayer' is quintessentially '80s. You may have heard this one too much, but worry not, there's still a whole treasure trove of material on here worth a listen if that's the case. 'Social Disease' is a bit tacky; it didn't age brilliantly, but still a worthy glam anthem in its own right. 'Wanted Dead or Alive' closes side one with a swaggering injection of cowboy and six-string. Side two opens with 'Raise Your Hands', one of my personal favourites from Jovi. It's a playful track, but one that's so contagious all the same. Then we have some trademark BJ ballads, in 'Without Love' and 'I'd Die For You'. 'Never Say Goodbye' is a standout track, and the album's last, 'Wild in the Streets' perfectly sums it up. The album is, quite simply, a flawless rock 'n roll, big-haired adventure, and should be a mandatory mainstay of any 80s collection. Physically, the iconic cover is great to own in the flesh, and the inner sleeve has handy lyrics on both sides. There's even a download card for the MP3 files, which is a nice bonus. As is the 180g pressing; for true audiophiles, and fans of music. Highly, highly recommend.

Excelente disco de vinil. Se escucha increíble. Material imprescindible para los amantes del rock. Coleccionable. Llego un poco después de lo acordado por ser compra internacional. Lo bueno: venía empacado de manera impecable desde su origen. Lo malo, el empacado de la caja exterior llego con mucho daño y casi abierta. Si no ha sido que desde su origen estaba perfectamente empacado, no hubiera llegado bien y con daños. Hay que cuidar eso por favor, y mas aun en productos de mucho cuidado como un disco de vinil. Por lo que respecta al producto en cuanto a su presentación y calidad, es excelente
