I like how clean the look is however it didn’t just pop into the left over hole in my Nissan Cube. I had to mess with it a lot. It may have been my car but I just felt like it was a pain. I had to modify the original cigarette lighter casing to allow this to fit.

I used this to add an external USB jack to a Tempest Arcade Cabinet, which now hosts a MAME emulator. Can plug in joystick for other games.As others have noted, the USB plug doesn't seem to go in all the way. That's fine, but could be a problem on a moving vehicle, maybe?For some reason the Q&A for this product won't give a straight answer for hole size. I used an 18.5mm sheet metal hole cutter drill bit, and the USB jack bits perfectly. So there's your answer. 18.5mm hole makes a nice tight fit. Could probably go a millimeter bigger and still be fine. Attached a handful of pictures with various measurements.

Just what was needed for a factory look in an older minivan. For a CarPlay or Android Auto in-dash receiver, the smartphone needs to be plugged in for full functionality. Instead of a loose USB cord hanging out of the dashboard, this unit will provide a factory look. For a 2nd generation Toyota Sienna, I removed one of the two 12v accessory receptacles and replaced with this unit. I used clear caulk to hold it in firmly. Works perfectly.

I didnt use it because I found a way to use my factory USB on the aftermarket stereo. I did test it and it worked well. You can screw in the enclosed bracket and snap it in. Or you can drill the apporpriate size hole and snap it into the hole for a clean looking flush mount. I am saving it for a different vehicle with no factory USB port.

I installed a new head unit in my 1998 Ford F-150. I eliminated the cigarette lighter and installed this plug. It fit perfectly. The lighter was hard to remove. I used a 1/2" drill bit and drilled it out (disconnect the vehicle battery).

Very good. Did what I needed. I did have to figure out the hole size since it was not stated and I did not use the included bracket (It's 0.75").

This was exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is if I jiggle the cable slightly, I loose my connection.

Used this to install a custom USB charging/Apple CarPlay port in my 04 Chevy Avalanche. Works great. Had to superglue it in place around the edges just for good measure. Didnt use the provided adapter but could have.
