Installation tips to keep you COOL!
When I put in my new grill gazebo I did not realize that its aluminum roof would gather heat during the day, making the inside pretty warm. I started researching outdoor fans and the iLiving was the best I found, either at the big box improvement stores, or online. This fan is terrific. I got the 14" and all three speeds are useful. The strongest is such a strong blast I normally use the middle setting. It comes with a long pull chain that is easily snipped to the size that works best for you. Let me answer some questions you may have:How long is the power cord?Six feet so you may need an extension like I did. For the best match, be sure you get a three plug round black cable in typical 14 gauge. I really like the inexpensive one from Woods also available on Amazon. It's a perfect match. Be sure you get an extension cord for outdoor use. What hardware is included? / How to attach the fan? There are two holes on the steel bracket that comes attached to the back of the fan. It's easy to install. I bought some nuts and bolts on my own that best fit the metal frame I was attaching it to. One hole is larger than the other so two different sizes are needed. Two healthy sized wood screws are included but I needed a nut and bolt for my use attaching to metal.Does it swivel?Yes, you decide if you prefer side to side or front to back. Because I needed to orient the included bracket horizontally, it swivels front to back for my use, or perpendicular to the bracket. (See my picture with fan attached to gazebo side.) if you need it to swivel in all directions, depending on your available space for hardware, you will need to pick up an additional bracket such as an L bracket. Is it noisy?Just the sound of the wind it makes! Really well built, solid and no rattles. Can it work on a timer?Absolutely! That's how I use mine, plugged into a pool/spa type of timer that lets you choice hours you wish it to be running. It also works fine with newer smart timers that work of phone APPs, etc.

Moves a lot of air
We installed this in my greenhouse to keep the air moving on my orchids. It was easy to put together and mount above the door. It did take 2 people, 1 to hold in place while screws were installed. Works great, I have never turned it higher than the lowest speed. Noise wise, nothing excessive, you definitely hear it but not horrible.

Great product!
This fan is awesome. Assembly instructions were easy to follow, fan noise is minimal. Great air flow. Using in 99 degree Texas summer on covered back entertainment area.

Too loud for an enclosed patio - perfect for a garage or other purposes
Moves air but is so loud for the purposes I bought it for which as an enclosed breezeway. It moves air but guests will not be able to talk to each other as it is that loud but they will be cooled so that's a plus :)

Does not work on wall power switch - noisy - poor customer service
The media could not be loaded. Purchased two of these 20” wall-mounted oscillating fans for our outdoor patio.Had them professionally installed by Electrician into new 110v power receptacles. They function OK but are quite noisy.Main issue: they are manufactured with power cable large fault trip box as a power plug which is very problematic. That large fault trip power plug does not fit in outdoor weather proof cover box which is not good and not expected. This type of power plug trips every time we turn on or off the power at the wall switch. We were told “it is not designed to work off a switch” which makes no sense. No photos or any indication of this is defect was on the company’s website advert for this unit. The power plug/fault trip is 4“ x 3“ large, so it is enormous compared to a regular plug. The fault switch trips and kills the power every time we try to switch the power onto the fan by a regular wall switch. Our last email to manufacturers went unanswered. We now question isf a 110v regular plug unit can have UL listing if it trips when turned on by a simple toggle power on/off switch. No email response received from tlmsupply / iLiving company so we will log this on all sites available.Amazon listened to our concern and advised we could return due to the “defect” - their terms. We contacted the Fan company’s technical service and were told that they were designed Not to work on a regular power switch, we’re talking about a wall off on toggle switch. We asked them what can be done about this, and they never responded to our email. Now we’re stuck with them because we have no alternative other than to remove from the wall mount and return to Amazon and Amazon agrees with us that it qualifies as a defect.Cost of electrician to install and now cost to uninstall several hundred dollars ($300) on top of $130 per fan price. BEWARE!

Great product!
Great product, the installation was easy. When installing the fan blade, make sure the screw that holds on to the stem of the motor is on the inside closer to the motor. Otherwise, the pitch of the blades will not blow air toward you. When it's all installed, works awesome.

Nice fan
Easy install, these are quiet and push a decent amount of air. My only problem with these is that the oscillation is 180deg. and cannot be adjusted for a smaller angle of movement. I just leave these in the non-oscillation modeand they are fine for my location.

Perfect for patio
Absolutely perfect. We installed it outside on our patio. Easy installation. Its actually reasonable sound not loud at all especially when you're u're playing music. The fan is pretty strong and can feel it really well at the very end of our 20 ft distance patio. Definitely recommend.
