I have a set of lights like these but not the same brand and love them so I wanted to get some more to put around my trees outside. Yes you have to be careful when you unravel them because they tangle very easily. After charging them in the sunlight for a day they worked really well. They will not work at night if there is any light shining on the solar panels. When I cover the solar panels with my hand the lights work after being charged up which is how I test them. They look so great on my trees that I had to purchase another set. They also have several modes you can set them at. I'm all set for Christmas now!

They work fine on a fence line. I put some inside a semi-transparent gazing ball with the solar panel in a good spot. Pretty neat use. Only thing that stumped me is I was putting a string on the underside of my deck roof beam. I’d staple the wire in place being careful to keep the wire centered to prevent shorting. I’d get about 2/3rds done and it would quit working (I covered the panel). I’d start taking it down and it would start working again. Happened 3 times. Baffled

These strings of lights are nice to look at (we have four strings), charge nicely, but they are hell to untangle and string up. The way they are packaged make it impossible to just unroll them without a huge tangled mess. Patience, EXTREME PATIENCE is required, plenty of time to SLOWLY untangle and CAREFULLY place them in the trees or shrubs or wherever you want them. We live in a windy area so it remains to be seen how long they will stay in place. But you can easily crimp the wires a bit around branches to keep them in place. I'd buy them again, but only if I was having a REALLY GOOD DAY without any other problems. If you are not having a good day, if you are consumed with work, computer, phone, children, politics, the news, finances, television, radio, wifi, router, printer, Alexa, streaming, or anything else --- forget untangling these !@#$% wires. I don't have an answer, but there MUST be a better way to package these. There is a different string of solar lights, not on a thin wire, that decorates with bees, and the lights are honey colored at night. We prefer these to tell the truth. No stress mounting these in the yard.

I have purchased solar lights from this seller in the past. They are much brighter than others and the number of lights per string are much more.

These are a literal nightmare. I was SO excited for Christmas lights that were solar because my apartment doesn't have a plug outside my unit. Solar would solve that! So I ordered 2 boxes. When I now wish I hadn't even bothered. Got them out of the box. Hooked up the solar panel to the spike. Read the instructions, etc. Easy enough. Went to wrap them around the pillars on my porch and realize they're just extremely long twist ties. You can imagine how easily tangled something like that would get, right? All of the kinks and twists that would occur if you were to, say, accidentally drop it. Funnily enough, I hated it before I dropped it. Stiff and unyielding and just an outright awful experience. But I finally got them up. It took me an hour to put out one strand of lights. It's evening so I can't check them that day so I wait til the next evening. They came on. The flickering options weren't great but they flicker, I guess. They stopped being bright after the first 30 minutes. Suddenly I couldn't see them at all if my porch light was on. After a few hours, they completely died. I thought they were supposed to last around 8 hours. Not 3-4. Whatever. Lesson learned I guess. I'll be cutting these down with wire cutters because there's no way I'm going through the trouble and the migraine of unraveling this monstrosity again.

These lights were a challenge to put up, the wire tangles VERY easily and untangling is a HUGE hassel. Once they're up they worked great for a couple months. The lights charged and lit up for a several hours. I purchased 2 sets - one set now barely twinkles for 30-40 minutes and the 2nd set twinkles brightly for an hour. I realize most of what we purchase is designed to only function for a period of time so we're forced to replace the item. While these lights worked and looked great for a few months, they are purely cosmetic for my patio so I won't be repurchasing / replacing them when they won't last for very long.

I was really looking forward to getting these but I was very disappointed. Yes! You do have to be very careful unwinding the wire strings but it states that on the page when orders. My disappointment was that one string of lights worked perfect but the other string wouldn’t even come on..... not happy. UPDATE: I contacted the seller and they are sending me another set and told me not to worry about returning any of the original lights. Even though one string did not work, I am giving them 5 stars for a great recovery. (Quick response and great customer service)

Love these lights. Purchased and put up for Christmas, and decided to leave them up to test through a Canadian winter. They still work!! 8 light settings to choose from so you can change the look if you want. I’ve kept mine on the “always on” setting as I needed two strands and couldn’t sync the other light options on my own once in place (arms aren’t long enough to reach both buttons at once). Only downside is there isn’t a remote, so you have to manually turn off the strand at the solar panel (not a big deal, but can be tough if you have to walk through a few feet of snow). **TIP: if you’re testing the lights, straight out of the box, be sure to cover the solar panel completely, if it’s picking up ANY natural light, the string lights won’t turn on!!! Also, they don’t hold as good of a charge in the winter due to temperature and lack of sunlight so be sure to have the solar panels facing up & on a bit of an angle so snow/ice doesn’t accumulate on the panel. Lastly, be gentle with the strand & don’t pull too tight as this could result in damaging the inner wiring. Overall great product and very happy with my purchase.

I have purchased 4 sets of these lights (two blue and two green). So far I am very happy with all of them, with one exception - one of the spools of green lights doesn't work at all. I have tried trouble shooting to no avail. Other than this one spool, though, they all work well and look wonderful lit up at night.
