TR0002 Measure Right Pro 30-Inch Masonry Layout Gauge and Template

Very happy with this item! It has already helped us tremendously while starting our whole house floor tile job. We are installing them diagonally, which we have never done before, and we have very crooked walls in this house. This tool made it very easy to cut the side tiles just the right size. The only problem I have with this item is that it does not come with instructions - they tell you to watch the videos that are on You Tube. The videos are very helpful and for the most part, cover the basics. Where we ran into problems was with the odd shaped cuts. Even though the long video went over some of that (much too quickly in my opinion), we still could not understand how to do those types of cuts after watching it multiple times and found another way to cut those tiles. They need to have a video that covers the odd shapes in much more detail with better explanation or instructions in the box with the tool. Better yet, I wish they had both of those! Overall, we are extremely happy with this purchase and will get much use out of it!

Ok, so I'm a weekend warrier DIY'er, not a pro. I've tiled a few rooms using a standard square tile layout without difficulty. When I decided to tile some other rooms in a diagonal pattern, I found myself struggling. This tool changed all that. I set it once and was able to mark out perfect cuts all the way down the walls, including some hard corner cuts. The only place it didn't help me was a few tight spots in a hallway with a section that didn't have full tiles adjacent to the cut tiles -- essentially there wasn't room to use this tool in those spots.I do think it's on the pricey side for the material quality (plastic could be thicker and more rigid), but it saved me enough time and stress that I still give it five stars.

**NOTE** I had no idea that the 30-inch one wouldn't work for my 12-inch tile. I saw that nowhere and ultimately had to return this item and just use a tape measure on tile day. TileRight was great with the refund although there was a restocking fee.This is really a great tool.It lets you easily adjust for the tile you're using and you can get some great cuts because you had some great measuring! The plastic seems pretty lightweight but durable enough for what it's doing.However, for the price of this thing, I think it's really only useful for someone who is going to be installing a lot of different-sized tile.Since I couldn't use this size for my 12-inch tile, I ended up cutting a board to size (12" + 1/8 gap) and it worked just fine, especially for my one-time tile job.

Well worth the purchase. Takes the guess work and trial an error out of it.So far all my cuts are right on the money.Heavy duty construction , very well made.If your tile is 16"sq or more you will need the 30" one. The other one is for 10"-17" tiles.If your laying for diagnal - measure diag. from corner to corner - if over 16" you need the 30" one.On my 10"-17" one - it stops short of going to 17" by about 1/4"?I bought both just in case.Watch the videos on this product - what you see is how easy it to use for all kinds of cuts.

This is a MUST HAVE for laying tiles on the diagonal! We laid over 1000 sq. feet of tile and this tool was invaluable. It helped making those difficult cuts accurate resulting in much less waste. If you're laying tile, you need this tool. You won't regret getting it and if you don't, you may well regret not having it!

It saved me lots of time and made me lots of money... :) love this tool!!!Had a diagonal 2000sq.ft installation thru the whole house ... Worth every penny... But got a little ... Actually very much upset when wrote the review... I paid $20 more then it it right now... It's been just a week... Really not cool to drop price like this!!!!

The tile right made our diagonal tile install MUCH easier than it would have been without it! It was our first tile install ever and we were able to move pretty quickly on making our cut lines for all the partial tiles. One thing I did learn is that there are no straight lines in building! When I first read instructions it says to start in a square corner ... well there wasn't a single square corner in our bathroom! So we lined up three tiles to be in line with the tub line since that would be the most visible line, the problem with this is we were then not square with the wall or the bathroom vanity, the tile right was still easy to use against the wall since we always had access to measure straight against it, however the corner around the bathroom vanity was a bit tricky and took us multiple times and finally realized we needed to measure from two different directions. Overall I would highly recommend this product and am so glad I purchased! Be sure to use the letters when measuring around the toilet, it is a big help!
