THUMPING BASS!!
Unbelievable for the price. I’m giving it 5 stars despite it missing one of the footpads on arrival. I’ve written the manufacturer. I would replace it with Amazon but I don’t want to be a day without it or hassle with the shipment if I can avoid it. Note that this speaker has an LFE input which the Rockshaker does not. Even the low end Polk doesn’t have that input and it’s precisely what you need for a modern surround sound. If you drive subs off RCA jacks they won’t mute! Don’t make that mistake. LFE is what you need. You can actually feel this thing. So small! Looks nice. Fires down. If you’re looking for a bargain sub this is it. Can you really tell the difference between this and an $350 Polk or Klipsch? Note mine does not seem to have the problem some had with it automatically powering down. The manufacturer indicates this is an updated version that solves the problem. Don’t hesitate. Seen here playing Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin on my turntable! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Perfect for smaller rooms
The sub has a nice clean sound and is perfect for a smaller room. in our case it is a 14x14 room with hardwood floors. I(t tucks away nicely in the corner. I would not recommend this for a large room like our theater room that is 24x28 and has carpet and lots of leather furniture to absorb sound.

Great Little Desktop PC & Gamer Sub
This is a great subwoofer so long as it is used properly and for the right purpose. This is NOT a sub you use for a home theatre or home recording studio setup. This is a little sub you stick under your desk and pair with PC speakers or something like this Creative Stage soundbar https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JC6YZ4K/, a sleek bit of mini-soundbar in elegant gloss black that looks like a million bucks on your desk. The problem with most PC soundbars or speaker systems (even nosebleed expensive ones like Katana) is they give you a crappy subwoofer, typically a shallow, hollow cabinet and cheap driver. That’s where this thing shines. Yes, the driver is only six inches, so don’t expect room-shaking performance, but this is a heavy box relative to its size, and the wei8ghty cabinet helps it punch, ahem, above its weight. Suggest you begin with top volume knob set to 12 o’clock and bottom frequency knob set somewhere between 9 and 10 o’clock, then slowly adjust to suit your taste. If you turn this thing all the way up and rotate the freq knob all the way to the right, the sub will sound like garbage. Take your time and try a bunch of different settings and you will find your sweet spot. You can mate this to any existing system, even a closed one, by using a splitter Y-cable like this UGREEN https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LM0ZGK6/?th=1, plugging your existing soundbar or speakers into one of the two cable inputs. The Creative soundbar, specially, should NOT be plugged into the subwoofer’s thru port because the Creative soundbar has its own proprietary sound card tech built into it and it sounds amazing. If you plug it into the sub instead of your PC, the sub’s crossover will filter out the low end and the soundbar won’t sound as good. Used with the Creative soundbar (sub-$100 pricing), I have a desktop PC sound system that thumps harder and sounds on par with if not better than many premium systems. Minus one star for no auto shut-off, but for the price, why quibble. I use a smart plug and Alexa routine to shut it off if I forget.

Works great, when it doesn't auto shut off
After getting the unit plugged in, and started listening to my music, I was pleasantly surprised with the audio quality. I did notice they mention Polk audio in the instruction manual, so that may be why. However, after minutes of listening, the unit just shuts off. Seems like they need to do more testing with their sensor that checks for signal coming through. First I was using the AUX input, when it started just shutting off, I switched to the RCA inputs. Still it keeps shutting off, so back it goes. Sad, I did like the design and audio quality of the unit.

Sounds fine but won't auto-on
I'm using this plugged into an Echo Show 8 1st gen. The sound is OK for this price range, but it doesn't "auto-on" most of the time. I have to bump the volume up a lot and then turn it back down to get it to work. It does "auto-off" just fine. It also claims to include a Stereo RCA to 3.5mm Audio Cable, but it didn't. The variety of inputs is good. I'll probably have to return this and get something that works right. Too bad, it does sound OK.

Self powered works well
Unlike some of the other products, I tried, the subwoofer works really well. Good value also.

I was looking for a compact sub-woofer that does not took up lots of space. Found this guys and was not expecting much especially when the spec says it only weighs less than 10lbs. Received it today and hook that up using a cheap coaxial from amp's bass feed to its LFE and WOW, this little guys can deliver quite a powerful punch. I am using it for music for now. Would test later and see how it performs in a home theater setting. Very impressed so far. Simple hook up and works right out of the box. And not going to break your back if you need to move it around. Oh, not to mentioned the less than $200 list price too.
