Just right for my greenhouse
Just installed this fan in my greenhouse, and so far it looks like it will be very effective. I was especially pleased to find out that you can reverse the cable connections to change the direction that the fan runs. That will be handy when I want to switch from blowing cool air in from the outside to exhausting the inside hot air out. (A built-in toggle switch would have been a nice touch though.) It reacts instantly to the amount of sun exposure on the panel, so fan speed is constantly adjusting on days where the clouds are abundant and moving across the sun. It does run fairly loudly when it's at full speed, but I think that somewhat reflects how powerful it is. The panel is of considerable size but was easy to install on the greenhouse roof. The positioning of the panel is permanent, and you can't adjust the angle, although with a little DIY and the right hardware you could probably mount it for adjustable angle. The materials and construction appear to be very sturdy. Solar power!.....that's 100 watts that won't have to be drawn from my limited electrical supply.

Good product and good value
I installed this on a 20' shipping container by cutting a hole in the upper part of one door. Mounted the panel on the roof with spacers on one end to create a slight tilt. Cut an air intake in the back at the bottom to pull in the coolest possible air. It made a noticeable difference, but I haven't measured the difference in temps wit and without the fan. Worked from the get go. Needs full sunlight to get good airflow, but that is when it needs to work! My package was missing the 15' extension cord, but I sent a message and was contacted quickly and was sent the cord. So good customer support.

Great product but installation should not be as easy as shown in the video.
The panel and fan function as they should. I purchased one with a 100-watt panel. The fan speed is more than sufficient to cool my 400-square-foot garage attic. Be aware that you might find it too noisy depending on the ambient. The extension cord is 16AWG, which seems to be at the borderline capacity. The instruction video shows the easiest but the riskiest way to mount the panel on the roof. To avoid leaks 100%, I used flashing mounts instead of drilling holes in the roof directly. Although it cost me approximately $200 in total for the mounts, conduit, and tools, on top of the product, I am happy that I did not cut corners.Update: The extension cord became hot, and plastic parts at the terminals were blackened. To be safe, I upgraded the cord to 12AWG with MC4 connectors.

Almost a good product.
Positive: Fan works - blows good air. Solar Panel provides enough power in direct sun light.Negative: Fan protrudes farther than shroud, so you need to build something to protect the blades and direct the air. Does not provide all of the connections for water tight electrical connections. if you dont want to burn your house down, you need to get the water tight connections - Or keep the solar panel indoors where it is dry.

I works really well. Until a cloud comes over, very sensitive.
I works really well. Until a cloud comes over, very sensitive. But all in all It does what it's suppose to do. Life span unknown.

There should be hints as to how to install in metal buildings....
it is still in packages after all these months........but soon it will be installed....looks compact and high quality...Now I need to study books on the difference in 12v and 48v wiring..

Fan burned out after 3 months
I bought this solar panel and fan in February 2025, and it performed well for a few months. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago the fan burned out and my greenhouse now faces the onslaught of summer without a fan. The PV panel continues to produce good voltage.I have asked the company for a replacement and will report back if I get support from them.

Greenhouse ventilation
I installed this fan I our new greenhouse to use for ventilation. It was easy to install as I cut a hole in a piece of plywood I had pre installed as we were putting the greenhouse up. I also built a stand outside to install the solar panel at a 54 degree angle facing southwest as to get the best afternoon sunlight in our area. As soon as I plugged the fan to the solar panel it went to work. I will have to get a battery backup as cloudy days it will not work. As small thin clouds covered the sun it slowed way down and thicker clouds it stopped. It does pull a lot of air at full speed.
