Don't be afraid to buy this. Mine has worked well for 2 years now. I dealt with the loud original equipment fan for 17 years! I wish I would have bought this sooner. It makes less than half the noise of the OEM fan and moves air great. Plug and play.

Works great with my fireplace, it actually gave me a reason to use the fireplace more often. It truly helps pushing out that warm air . Noise level is t too bad but I wish it was a little lower.

The OEM fan started making noise so I thought I would try replacing it. It took about 15 minutes to remove and replace the blower.

First off, the correct wires to install this are not included for a Heat & Glo fireplace. I needed an extra female connector to wire according the H&G method. The main issue, though, is that it stopped working after about 30 minutes. After some trouble-shooting, I have determined that the fan speed controller burned out.Edit: amazon, not the manufacturer, sent me a replacement after asking for support. The replacement has been working fine, but given the failure of the first unit, I'm somewhat waiting for the other shoe to drop...

Great thing for your fireplace if you don't have one in there. Mine was a ridiculous amount of work, that had nothing to do with putting this blower in, but when I finished, love it! This thing is simple to put in just take your time.

Great heat output, low noise level and easy to install.
