Swampfox Ironsides Shield - Black Stainless Steel dot Sight Protector for Liberty, Justice & Sentinel

I bought this and installed it with my Liberty green dot. The fit and finish are really good overall. My one minor complaint is that it's got a small gap all around, but it's also not a very big gap, so I can't really say if it is a flaw or intentionally designed this way. The contour matches the shape of the sight perfectly, and protrudes forward a little bit to help protect the lens from the front. There are no sharp corners or anything that causes a snag on my clothing when I carry at the 4 O'clock position, so that's a plus.If I had one complaint/opinion, I think the price is a tad on the high side for what it is, especially considering it's not the most perfect fit ever. That said, it's good insurance to protect the much more expensive optic, so I can overlook that one minor thing that may be an intentional design element..

Fit the sentinel red dot perfect

Easy to use and mount. You cannot use the rubber optic protection if you use this mount.

This is great addition for when you have to pistol whip somebody and you don’t want to mess up your glass or damage your housing on your optic, also if you have to rack the gun on the back of somebody’s neck or face, you don’t have to worry about scratching your damaging up your optic! Must have!

I bought this while waiting for the optic to arrive, but when I got the optic, I really don’t feel this is necessary? The optic feels very solid and I have beat on it pretty good. It does add some width and height, which I’m not a fan of when trying to have the smallest optic. But I suppose it would make it “bulletproof”

This does fit with the Swampfox Sentinel Red Dot on my Hellcat, which is the recommended optic for my Hellcat. However it does not sit level and it sits so high that it makes it impossible to use the site. I sent an email to Swampfox and they never got back to me to let me know if the Ironsides was recommended for the Hellcat with the Sentinel Red Dot....so I have, yet again, another Amazon piece of Non Functional Art I can look at and not use. Probably put a box together of things I've purchased that, when received, turned out not so good and will just sit somewhere or until I send them off to Goodwill.
