This is BY FAR soooooo much better than the "over the door - hang by your jaw/neck thing"!! My doc prescribed the over the door thing, but probably because they didn't know about this. This is so much better, way more comfy and works better. It really does raise your head up without hurting your jaw. It has tabs (unseen in pics) that work for either a smaller neck or a wider neck. Then the long tabs in the pic, close the product around your neck. The top and bottom have a velvet like fabric flocking that is super soft,and comfortable as you don't stick to it if you sweat. You blow it up by squeezing the tube and then sliding a pepple like thing down, which locks the air in. To deflate, you move the pebble thing out and into a concave area of the tube, twist the ring at the pump and it deflates flat to fold and fit in your purse or briefcase. I say it the way it is, and so the truth is this is AWESOME!!! I Highly recommend it so much so, I am informing my doctor about it's existence. It really works and is very well constructed. Very impressed with the quality. Feel better~ :)

At first glance, this thing resembles a torture device. However, once I figured out how it works and got it adjusted for my long thin neck, I love it. Initially, I almost choked myself because I didn't have it set properly (**I can be dumb sometimes**, but be careful anyway!) Honestly, the DVD wasn't much of help, but it was better than nothing. I just used trial and error. My right shoulder has given me problems for over a year, and I couldn't figure out why; it simply ached and was accompanied by sharp pains. I have not been able to lay my head backward to my shoulders without nerves (electric) twinging. And, as of late, have had tingling down my arm, into my hands and fingers, as well as them going numb. However, after only 2 days, the nerve pain in my neck has been dramatically reduced. My shoulder feels better than it has for a very long time. And, apparently, my circulation throughout my neck, shoulders, and down to my hands have improved. I do not know how much more all of this will improve, but I say that I do recommend this product or another brand similar to it.

Scam only neck comforter arrived nothing else

I was having severe pain from a pinched nerve in my neck when I discovered this product on Amazon. At that point anything seemed worth a try, so I ordered. This really works! Although I don't think it could have cured my pinched nerve (that took physical therapy) it definitely helped to relieve the pain. There are tabs so you can adjust how the device fits around your neck. You can also choose not to inflate the top ring if three rings make it too tall for your neck.What I found worked best for me was to fully inflate the bottom two rings, then open the channel to the third ring and pump several times. Immediate relief! The pump is easy to work--just remember to close the release valve before you start pumping. If the valve is open, the rings will not inflate. The cover is soft and it did not make my neck hot or sweaty. I wouldn't say it was "comfortable," but my neck felt much better with it on than with it off.

My cousin highly recommend DR-HO's Neck Comforter. I suffer from neck pain from an old injury and I don't hold my neck up straight. From holding my neck in a forward position my shoulders are becoming really rounded. When I received the neck comforter in the mail I thought it was a joke. It looks ridiculous and I was ready to send it back. I tried it just to satisfy my curiosity and boy was I surprised. I love it. It feels so good to hold my head up straight and what a difference it make to the way my shoulders and spine feel. You inflate it to your comfort level and it's simple to use. I would wear it all day if I could. I highly recommend this product because of the relief it gives me. It's not a permanent solution but anytime I can reduce my pain I'm happy.

Best neck traction device.

Quality is fair but I do not feel any decompression whatsoever until it's to the point of choking me. Might work better for someone with a larger neck or a man (I'm a medium framed woman).

This product helps me with my neck pain. The issue that I have with it is that it looses air easily, since the beginning I started using it. Moreover, the warranty application is not a convenient process as expected. You have to fill in a questionnaire, asking you irrelevant questions, and you have to mail it in or scan and email it. Why the product is under warranty automatically, I am not sure. This is not a good way of conducting business!

very good product

(Yup - I write these reviews for people like me = people who do research and are tired of buy garbage.) So, I have a chiropractor - who will be seeing me less often. I am amazed - I put it on, pumped it up - and thought I was going to pass out - let some pressure off, yes, it is a bit of an experiment to figure out how much you 'may want to pump it up', but I will tell you it gives you a new neck. I have a stiff neck, my posture isn't great and I have developed a 'head forward - right' posture from working at a desk. So, after my first try my neck felt completely release, I could turn my head with no restriction - the second time I used it it sort of felt like my chronic sinus pain reduced - and my mind felt clearer. Now, know this, like me you can blow it up too much and then your head turns red, your veins pop out and it looks like your head will explode - don't do that! (I did - not great). Decrease the pressure, and try stretching your neck side to side. This is for the price and quality - one heck of a great 'self-treatment' tool that will save you a ton on chiro bills and time off with headaches.

This works. Stretches the c-spine nicely to decrease pressure from compressed ion issues some people suffer. I’m a trucker and suffer from this and it can be debilitating at times to the point the only pain meds that will provide any relief are Tylenol 3 which causes impairment and do is not good for those of us who drive. I use this everyday and it works wonders Only con is the Velcro. I don’t like them. Otherwise would have gotten 5 stars.

Chokes me and makes me clinch my teeth. Not very comfortable at all.
