Simple, easy to use, good quality, zero setup time
Amazing! Works exactly as advertised. Even on Ubuntu 22. Simple, easy to use, good quality sound conversion with enough range. Good build quality. Especially for the price compared to other products this is a good deal.

ex-audiophile here - works great!
excellent way to avoid onboard audio fluff. plug and play on everything I've tried it on. would recommend for most users.

Does what it oughta, so far so good. Price can't be beat.
I'm using this to convert digital audio streams from Spotify, Quobuz, etc. to analog signal my all-analog stereo receiver can use. Have played all of two streamed albums so far, and have no complaints about sound quality -- we'll see how it holds up over time. And the $10 price is absurdly low. Might upgrade to something more "audiophile approved" in the future, but have to wonder: would a $100 DAC sound 10x better? Would a $1,000 unit sound 100x better? Land of diminishing returns, folks. Right now I'm satisfied.

Solid upgrade from motherboard audio.
Works great! Easy installation and major upgrade if your motherboard audio is lacking. Not sure if it's audiophile grade because just using with PC Speakers.

This plus earbuds with mic = win
I can't stand clunky headphones with boom mics and that flimsy wiring that, after a few tugs on the cord or a few too many bends of the cord, leaves your headset destined for the trash. I also never had good luck with USB headsets, usually some kind of nonsense where the gain is too high, too low, or otherwise the system keeps un-detecting the headset. This is a nice and versatile little unit. Add in some decent 4-pole earbuds w/mic. Maybe get a short 4-pole extension. Good for chats, meetings, or even gaming. My modular use in this way, allows me to replace a failed part, instead of all the parts, and also allows me to customize a little bit to fit my needs. Can of course even add a non-USB headset with/without a mic to this.

Not too costly, plug and play, worked right away.
The audio from my son's 4-pole headset wasn't working, specifically his mic was coming in at -54 dB, when connected to his PC (case or mobo audio). Through my research it seems to be a prevalent problem with ASUS motherboards going back to 2013 and platform agnostic (AMD or Intel). Upon finding this adapter, I bought it as a possible solution and it worked! Complete plug and play: open up the package, connect to the headphone 3.5mm jack, plug into PC. Bam microphone could be heard at full volume, which was the issue when connecting his gaming headset normally. Bottom line, if you are having audio issues or you have a 4-pole, trrs, 3.5mm jack and your device you're trying to use your headset on doesn't but does have USB, give this a go.

Wanted to use wired headphones of a Samsung 43" TV DU7200
The TV does not have a 3.5mm audio out that you can use with wired headphones Even though the USB A on this TV does not mention that this port can be used for audio out, I plugged in this device and then my wired Sony headphones and I had audio. I could have used the bluetooth speakers but this bypasses the use of the QSymphony and the Samsung Soundboard and only provides sound from the poor performing TV speakers.. Then I thought, what if I split 3.5mm jack and use one out for the wired headphones and the other for a device that converts the other 3.5mm out to an optical cable that I can then plug into the Samsung soundboard optical in. It worked. Now I can listed to difficult audio like UK programming and some streaming movies and I can use the wired headphones and my wife can still enjoy the excellent sound from the Samsung soundboard (though not Q Symphony). The level of the sound provided to the Soundboard optical in, is about half of the level provided by the HDMI cable, so you have to double the audio level if you are go this route.

I bought it and plugged into the USB passthrough on my keyboard as my earphone wire isn't long enough to plug to my pc and I wasn't expecting the sound to be this good. I highly recommended this product and I'm very happy with the purchase. Plug and play and you're good to go! ❤️

I installed an Android tablet into the dash of my car, mostly for the maps and the occasional bit of Spotify on the go. Connected it via a standard 3.5mm AUX cable at first, but the sound was... well, underwhelming. It lacked bass, the volume felt a bit feeble, and overall it just sounded like it was coming through a wet sock. After a bit of digging, I learned that the internal DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) in most tablets is not exactly high grade - more of an afterthought, really. So I picked up this USB DAC, plugged it in using a USB OTG adaptor, and immediately the difference was night and day. Suddenly the bass came alive, the clarity jumped up a notch, and the whole system felt like it had been through a proper upgrade. Genuinely impressive. I have tried the Apple USB DAC in the past, and this one not only keeps up but arguably beats it for sheer audio punch - plus it feels much more robust in the hand. Solid build, no faff with setup, and it just works. I was so impressed I ordered a second one for my home PC, which has been equally transformed. If your music sounds a bit lifeless through your device, this is one of the best value upgrades you can make.
