Old Country Roses 20-Piece Flatware Set

The utensils are much larger than regular-sized cutlery which may make it difficult for some women and the elderly to manage well. Definitely not for children. A shame really. Otherwise, a very pretty set.

Since I prefer simplicity and understated elegance, I worried this flatware might be gaudy. But I coupled it with a "rich" china pattern that has a very wide border with gold accents, it looks perfect. A less ornate flatware would have been inappropriate for the visual strength of the china. That said, if the china had been unadorned or lightly-adorned, this flatware would have been too flowery for my taste. FYI, I put the pieces in the dishwasher, but had to hand polish with a cloth to fully obliterate "water" stains. This was not difficult and the flatware once again looks pristine. Overall, I very much appreciate the coupling of stainless and golden tones, the weight, the quality, and the price.

I really like the his set. I got it because it was the cheapest way to get forks and spoons for tea parties. The only other choice was expensive and not suited for what I wanted. The set is very elegant and lovely. It's perfect to use for my little soires.
