I'm an 80 year old woman. I'm not as strong as a young man, but I can manage most things. I replaced the screen in a large double window because my cat had shredded the screen and made an escape route. There was enough screening material to fit both sides of the window. Maybe because of the thickness of the screen and the thicker spline, I found it difficult to get the spline into the groove. Not impossible, and I did manage, but it took a while, about an hour to do each side. I had to push all along the sides with a tool (a screwdriver would work) several times to make sure it was all the way in. But now it's done and is hanging in place. I've read that, because of the heavy screen, it would appear noticeably darker in the room. I can't say that I've experienced that. It isn't invisible but it's like any good quality screen, particularly one from decades ago. A 16 pound cat was sitting on the screen as I was installing it so I wasn't sure it was as taut as I'd like. I let one side sit overnight and then tightened it, and it's far smoother. People have mentioned the creases. I could see them but they were less pronounced the second day. But once I had the screen in place, the creases disappeared and it looks terrific. I've just put the screen into the window. The cat is lying on the sill but so far hasn't tried to climb or claw his way out. I can believe that the screen will hold, though, because I certainly had slips with the tools while installing it and had no problems with tears, cuts, or snags. I did leave a half inch edge rather than cutting close to the spline because I didn't want the screen to pull away with a large cat hanging on it. I would definitely buy this again and again. The only caution is the effort it took to install due to the sturdiness of the fabric.

This stuff is amazing!!! I have a lot of outdoor feral cats that like to use my screen as a scratching post. I replaced my old screen with this one and not one blemish. I've seen a couple of the cats go to town on the screen and expected something to stretch...nothing. Most of the cats have talons for nails and shredded my other screen. It's super tough and thick. I'm going to replace all my other screens. My inside cat likes to play with the remnants. I was able to do a whole slider plus two small windows.

Good fix that is definitely of better quality than old screen material.

Very durable material even though didn’t work for my application.

So many reviews griping about the terrible creases from it being shipped folded. Manufacturer directions even tell you to take a hair dryer to it or set it out in the sun after install, but forget all that nonsense. Throw it in a hot dryer for 15 minutes, pull it out and get it flat quickly before it cools all the way, and install it to the frame. Having done this, it now looks good enough to not be offensive. I'm not a pro screen installer, but I found this pretty easy to do overall. Don't pull it super tight, or you'll just bow your frame. All you really need to do is lay it across neatly, and press the spline into it with your tool. This should pull the material fairly taught. If you're not satisfied with that, you can press down the material on the outside of the frame to encourage it to tighten more in the middle. DO NOT TRIM UNTIL YOU'VE GOT THE SCREEN FULLY INSTALLED! I can't say much about longevity yet as I literally just put it in an hour ago. My larger dogs have given a little scratch a few times to go in and out already, and so far so good. I'll update as needed.

not real easy install but do able with proper tools does shade light some but not alot

This mesh has creases because it came folded. You can wait for them to dissappear by themselves or using a hot gun or an iron with a piece of cloth over it and carefully iron it. After installation there was a crease part in the center, but I'll just wait to fade by itself. It is sturdier than I thought. Holes 1/32" × 1/32" Not sure if it was expensive or not because is the first time I bought one. The size 30' x 100' is not bad I have extr just in case. Easy to use and install.

Primero compré uno para probar su resistencia y es muy buena pues a pesar de que se cuelgan bastante los gatos quedan unas marcas muy ligeras, casi imperceptibles. Si son de color negro pero a mi parecer no obscurecen la vista ni de afuera hacia adentro y viceversa. Posteriormente compré 3 más y ahora todos los mosquiteros expuestos a los gatos son de este producto. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

So far they try and scratch it and there is no breaks in screen.well UPDATE 10=weeks installed cats are breaking screen. Definetly not cat proof

With floor to ceiling doors it is hard to find a product that doesn't required you to purchase six or more meters leaving you with plenty of wastage or needing to store it for three plus years. Great quality product, easy to and looks great installed.
