I purchased this product as a Christmas gift for my father, along with a smoker tube to use on his grill. Prior to selecting this product, I did quite a bit of research on the best brand and flavor of smoker pellets. Many pellet review articles listed Pit Boss as the absolute best. Plus, this humungous bag was very reasonably priced, especially compared to many of Pitt Boss’s competitors. My cousin who has a stand alone smoker and makes the best ribs I’ve ever had recommended the Mesquite flavor, which he said would give the food that West Texas BBQ flavor that my dad loves. I am happy to say that my dad was incredibly pleased with these pellets! They work very well, heat up fast, retain heat, produce the perfect amount of ash, and come in a very economical and large bag. The mesquite flavor has come through nicely in all ttthe food my dad has smoked. I would definitely recommend this product and will absolutely buy it for my father again.

I used these in my Traeger smoker and the flavor is incredible! I noticed some of the pellets are a little big and I was concerned but the auger seemed to have no problem feeding them through. I smoked some chicken drumsticks and they turned out incredible!
